Log cabin in one floor, built in 2001, living room, kitchen, bedroom with double bed, another bedroom with 2 beds, plus 1 foldable extra bed, electric sauna. Terrace. Separate wood-heated sauna with washroom, dressing room and fireplace room on the beach. There are electricity and water pipe in the sauna. Fridge, electric stove and spreadable sofa in the fireplace room. There are spreadable sofa also in the dressing room. The lakeside sauna can be used from May to Aug Log cabin by the lake Pielinen in Ahveninen area in Eno. Shallow child-friendly natural sand beach. Good fishing opportunities. You can ask fishnets from the owner, as well as fishing rods. The outboard motor can also be rented, ask from the owner. Good terrains for picking berries nearby, the owner has 16 ha plot. The nearest neighboring building is about 35 m away, used quite rarely. The next neighbor is approx. 80 m away.
Uimaharju 7 km, Eno 17 km, Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium 39 km, Ski trails in Uimaharju 6 km. Distance to the Koli ski slopes along the side roads is 31 km, along the main road distance is 51 km.

You can spot an otter couple dive into the river when having breakfast - take a walk or a run by the river or enjoy dinner made by the masters of the kitchen and at the end of the day fall asleep in the arms of comfy beds. The hotel is the most versatile event venue in Eastern Finland where you can organize quality exhibitions - meetings - seminars as well as stylish parties and celebrations. Kimmel offers modern-day Karelian luxury for up to a 1000 guests at the same time. The hotels meeting wing has eight meeting spaces which can be divided into smaller spaces or into a one large meeting space for up to 600 people. In addition - we have sympathetic glass cabinets for smaller groups which are located next to restaurant Bistro Heili. The restaurant includes a bar and hotel is completed with an evening restaurant Las Palmas which is open on Fridays and Saturdays. Kimmel was made together with local electricians - carpenters - beer brewers - Karelian pie bakers and craftsmen. Enjoy their works of art.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is situated between the railway station, the bus station, River Pielisjoki and Park Sirkkalan Puisto. The riverside park is a nice picnic area with tables and benches. There are even fishing possibilities there but notice restriction areas. However, walking distance to the city center and all main attractions is very short. It is also possible to rent Jopo bikes from the hotel. Also electric city scooters are often available in front of the hotel. Our standard room was very nice. We had good beds, an armchair, a big flat-screen television, a self-adjustable air-conditioning system, a ventilation window with an insect net and an empty refrigerator (no minibar). However, the refrigerator was quite loud. Our bathroom was OK but the shower wall was too short. Water came under it and watered the whole bathroom while showering. Breakfast was good. I especially loved local specialties, that is to say Karelian rice pastries and banana-chocolate cake by a local bakery. The breakfast room was so big that there wasn't any congestion there. Park view was very nice. The dinner restaurant of the hotel is good, too. It is also possible to take a drink on the large summer terrace. We didn't test the pampering spa department because there is an admission fee there. Service was very kind in the whole hotel.

Großes, gut ausgestattetes Zimmer mit bequemen Betten. Frühstücksbuffet mit karelischen Spezialitäten. Die kann man in aller Ruhe genießen, das Buffet wird nämlich nicht sofort abgeräumt. Besonders am Wochenende weiß das jeder zu schätzen, der mal in einem finnische Hotel um 9.45 Uhr (bei 10 Uhr Frühstücksende) kaum noch was bekam. Gute Lage, zu Fuß sind Bahnhof, Marktplatz und die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good, out of the train station, crossing the bridge and walking less than fifteen minutes. There is a bus stop at the door, which is convenient for travel. The rooms are large, clean and have a sauna to experience the Finnish lifestyle. Breakfast is good and the hotel also serves lunch and dinner. Shopping malls, supermarkets and restaurants in the central area are very close and convenient.
