The Tyrwhitt Rosebank

Great apar**ent with excellent proximity to almost everything you need. Rosebank Mall is very close, restaurants and Gautrain station are also close. The team are exceptional at what they do. Kind, professional and just really nice people! We stayed there for over two months and it was a perfect choice.

The apar**ent I stayed in was managed by Propr and is listed in ***********. The block is made up of permanent residents and short-stay apar**ents rented out by different agencies. My experience with Propr was awful. All communication was through WhatsApp. I was told to find my keys in a lock box, but the very nice desk staff did not know which lock box, most are placed just outside the apar**ents. After some time we identified the lock box in a drawer at the front desk. I was given no information about the apar**ent nor a wi-fi code. I had to ask for the code. Joburg winter is cold! There was a very small completely ineffective fan heater. The floor was tiled so it was freezing. I was told the owners could not supply another heater. The bed had only a mattress cover that was made of plastic and nylon. I asked for an undersheet but was told the bed was made up 'to international standard'. The Netflix subscription expired and I was told a technician would come... no one. I am not a fussy guest and have travelled extensively and am happy with simple accommodation but this apar**ent was expensive! For the price I think that the things I have mentioned should have been standard. The lack of response to my requests was frustrating. I won't be returning.

Wonderful stay, friendly staff at check-in. Safe and secure. If you turn right when exiting the door, the mall is a few metres away. If you turn left and go down the road (walking), its a bit longer, but you get to the food places. Design, comfort, furniture all top notch and brand new. Wifi was very good. Balcony to get fresh air, with table and chairs. It was lovely. Stayed in a 2 bed, 2 bathroom apar**ent. If using Google maps or uber, to get to the reception, put in "54 on Bath" (another hotel), and you'll get straight to the reception, opposite that.

Apar**ent stay over was ok - spent a week. How ever at the door of the reception on the Thursday and Friday phone snatching took place. Guys walks up and grabs the phone and speeds off. The door security should be beefed up or make people aware. The reception security was not phased by the gentleman that was just robbed, because it seems to be a every day thing.

We stayed in a nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in Rosebank. Nice view of the city and sunsets, super clean and quiet (unless there's a big rugby match and the fans are yelling:) ) It was right down the street from the Rosebank Mall, where there are many nice shops, a Woolworths for great groceries (and food, and beauty) and the fun Sunday Market on the top floor of the parking garage, and The Zone (lots of nice restaurants, shops and the Hop On-Hop Off tour.) Always make sure you bring a convertor for 2-3 South African plugs, because all hairdryers we saw had a type that the condo didn't have and I don't think the owners realize it. Secure building.

The apar**ent is lovely, family new and very well furnished to make one's stay very comfortable. However, house keeping was not done in my 4 night stay! We complained twice about it and each time they would promise someone is still coming. I did notice that they took a long time to check us in. When we went to the apar**ent we found the lady still cleaning. This was the 1st red flag that the cleaning staff is overworked and aren't able to do the rounds in all the apar**ents on time. Due to the poor cleaning staff, the apar**ent has areas that are never cleaned. For example, the common areas aren't swept, the curtains in the main bedroom, lounge carpet and the extra blanket are filthy. The walls and door surfaces aren't touched and understandably so, because poor cleaner has to work even after 5pm. Due to that, I wouldn't quite recommend staying here until the cleaning issues are sorted. Otherwise the establishment is good.

For apar**ents that are closer to the mall and road, I had expected the place to be loud..... But Nooo it was quiet and serene, Apar**ents are fully furnished and fully equipped with everything that you need, you just need to walk in with your bags and food. And bonus is the fact that the mall is just across the road. This was definatley a home away from home. Disliked · It would be helpful for the The Security to give a little detail on where check in should be done and where the reception is. Other than that, everything was perfect.
