Palm Continental Hotel

I spent 4 nights at this hotel. Clean, quiet and Well located. Room are bit enough and big enough. Good staff, very discreet. The food was perfect too. A parking is in the compound too. I did enjoy my stay there.For sure, I'll come again.

On the arrival at the hotel on my first day.. my room was not ready at 2pm and check-inn is at 12h00. In my first room 215, there was a huge patch of mold in my bathroom above my shower. I complained and advised I'm allergic to mold. I was given another room and had a terrible experience of discovering a mouse on my pillow at around 2am in the morning. I have a video as proof of the mouse in my room. I was unable to upload the video and took a screenshot of the mouse. I complained and went out for the day and when I returned the evening around 8pm, nothing was done, no mouse trap or poison was seen. The same morning I discovered the mouse, I went to shower, I had cold water. The indoor heated pool smells terribly like damp. The place is unkept and needs to be maintained, definitely not a 4 star, very disappointing. The housekeeping and receptionists are very friendly and do their best to assist, the manager is just not doing anything at all, can't reach him and won't do anything to compensate for any discomfort you experience. Palm continental hotel johanesburg is very beautiful and 4 star luxurious hotel very neat and clean. Rooms are big and service is good. Lal qilla restaurant is also in hotel premises lal qilla breakfast and food are too much tasty and fresh overall best 4 star hotel and I enjoy my stay in P c hotel

I checked in on Friday night. Upon entering the bathroom , I realised that the toilet was full of filth, including traces of filth on the toilet pan. I complained to reception. He said he is working on it. I waited 30 minutes and nothing happened. I called him back. He said sorry but no cleaners are available and there are no other rooms available. He said he will forward my complaint to management. I wonder if that was ever done as nobody contacted me thereafter. I then had to clean the toilet myself. The next morning I was rushing for a meeting and I had realised that no towels were provided to me at all. I called reception to ask for towels. I waited 20 minutes. No towels arrived. I showered without a towel and ended up being late for my meeting. On Saturday afternoon, I called reception and said I have a pair of clothes to wash, on condition I get it back Sunday morning at 7:30 as I have to leave for the airport. The receptionist said she is confirming this with housekeeping and if 730am is possible, then they will collect it from me. 3 minutes later, a lady knocked on the door and said she can do it for me for R100. I agreed. I confirmed with her that I need it by 730 and she agreed. The next morning I called reception several times regarding my clothes but nobody knew whats happening. I waited and waited. Until eventually I received my clothes at 8:55am! I rushed to the airport & ended up being late for my flight! I was issued with another ticket for the night, so I had to book a room at a hotel nearby to rest. I wanted to be in durban for a very important family occassion which I had missed out on due to their pathetic service. Excellent fully fledged halaal breakfast. However, the restaurant is in a seperate building. That morning it rained and we had to walk in the rain to get to the restaurant. They should arrange a sheltered pathway between the hotel and restaurant

Service was good, staff pleasant, very reasonably priced Hotel with warm pool and jacuzzi. Room was neat and cleaned daily, well equipped-tea/coffee; hairdryer, iron, aircon, mini fridge, tv, jacuzzi Food- Buffet breakfast very good and La Qila restaurant provides excellent eastern and western cuisine Location-good and evenly positioned between OR Tambo Int Airport, Sandton, Pretoria , Jhb Centre, Lenasia. 5 minutes from Fordsburg centre and Ormonde Shopping Centre-which have a variety of shops and eateries including the popular franchises.
