Super 8 by Wyndham Johnson City

Wow! TRUCKER FRIENDLY!!! We had the pleasure of staying at this SUPER 8 on June 24, 2024. Room 105. I cannot say enough good things about our stay! The bed was soft but firm, the pillows were soft. Hardwood throughout the room, no nasty carpet. The TV was HUGE for a motel room with crystal clear channels. The shower, OMGosh! This is a handicap accessible room, complete with shower chair if needed; hair dryer, small bottles of shampoo and soap. There is a small eating area beside the check in desk. For breakfast they offer cereal, muffins, fruit and orange juice. I would definitely rate this motel a 5 out ot 5. I cannot speak of the other floors, but the first floor was EXCELLENT!

The place had roaches, feces on the wall, the bed was harder then a rock.

I stayed at this location last night. I drove four hours to see my child compete in a competition she’s been preparing for for an entire year. She competed in the MATE ROV world underwater robots competition. All night I had people jumping up and down in the room above me. When I woke and stepped out of bed there was standing water in my floor. Wet socks aren’t something people love first thing in the morning. My shower did not work. I was told repeatedly that the shower would be fixed or I could move rooms. No one ever came to fix my shower, just to mop up the standing water that had accumulated, I eventually moved rooms. Waiting for someone to fix my shower meant that I missed my child’s competition. I was told two more times that a manager would be here in 30 minutes that I could speak to. That manager never came. When I returned to the property after arguing with the booking company for a refund for FOUR HOURS the manager said he never was coming in today. That it was his day off.

Floor hasn’t been swept in a while and walked into the room and it smelled like a Newport Factory had just got done testing all cigarettes in the facility. I had to open up the window for about a hour to get the smell out.

Room was very clean and neat. Beds were comfortable and hotel located in a quiet area. Would definitely book again.

Everything was very good.

Good value for the money. The breakfast is a little weak. Cerial and breakfast bars and some fruit. Room was clean and quiet.

This was just a quick one night stay for my family. It was just what we needed... comfortable beds, hot shower and close to food and the venu we were visiting for.
