Holiday Inn Express & Suites Johor Bahru, an IHG Hotel

Wasn't expecting such poor stay thru the period. Greeting by the front desk was super great on my 1st day upon check in. We actually walk over from CIQ and enter the hotel thru the carpark level 3. The greeting was welcoming and check-in was smooth and quite effortless i would say. When we head up to our room, we though we would have a very pleasent stay during this short get-away as a family. Good things dont last on this i would say. The door of our room was ledged lock from the inside, don't ask me how it happen but it just happens. We were all quite tired from the walking and the hotel staffs took a total of 25mins to rectify the issues. The 2nd hiccups came when we look at the bathroom. I booked for a family room, but this family room seems kind of like a small 1 Room HDB flat with only 1 Bathroom and 1 WC. Frosted glass panel some more. Look, we have 2 teenager gals staying in a family room with us, at the least give a proper door to close it if you want your family guest to stay in. 2 out of 4 pcs of towel were stain by rust. I really wonder if this room had been clean up since the last use. Call the housekeeping for 2 more towels and waited for another 40min. Order some meals for lunch on our last day, 2 porridge, 1 salmon and 1 fried chicken chop. waited for a whole good 45 mins and only 2 porridges came out, in which i have to walk to the kitchen to ask if that order was mine. The porridge was served luke warm on our table, it seems to me that the porridge was there for quite a long time before I have to go over to ask. This is a hotel, not a hawker, even hawker food would quickly make a new order if they know it was delay and not serve. The only thing that was serve right was our coffee. I really can't imagine myself to come back to this hotel ever again. Hope the other IHG hotels doesnt give such a poor standard anymore.

I have been choosing Holiday Inn Express when I visit JB due to affordable price for 2 bedroom. Staffs.have been always trying to improve in their services.

The hotel is clean, conducive and easy to locate. Friendly and professional front desk.

Comfortable one night stay near the causeway. The beds were comfortable and clean as expected from Holiday Inn standard.

We live there whenever we go to Johor bahru worth it
