Hawksbill Resort Antigua - All Inclusive

OUTDATED RESORT!!!!! No Air conditioner in some bungalows had to upgrade to AC bungalow for a fee $$. No clean towels or wash clothes available. Toilet backed up, plumbing was horrible, standing water in shower and toilet bubbles. Had to call service desk guy was rude and for 2 DAYS septic trucks were on property, awful smell . No water sometimes and it was brown . Overbooked excursions they said the engine blew up on your boat but watched the tour boat sail all day laying on the beach. Limited dinner options and same type of food everyday Unfriendly staff, they don’t smile. Soccer kids hanging/laying around resort for days. The beach and water was amazingly beautiful.

There are lots of decent things about the resort. Overall, very well maintained grounds. The beaches were pretty, but the most gorgeous beaches are south, located near Fryyes Beach and that area. We had difficulty with rooms between air conditioning not being very cold, hot water etc., if you aren’t in the updated ones. The food is mediocre. Sadly, there were some great meals, but very hit or miss. Not a ton of variety. The best meal they did was the buffet dinner and that’s only twice a week. Some staff were friendly and some could be friendlier. It is quite a transition coming from other all inclusives where some of these things aren’t issues. Don’t get me wrong, it was a less expensive option, which was why I chose it.

Hawksbill is an absolute paradise, the perfect escape from the rest of the world. Landscaping is lush, the beaches are pristine and stunning, the food is divine, and the staff is the best. Hawksbill’s atmosphere is romantic and relaxing and absolutely stress free.

Beautiful hawksbill ! Where to start… fantastic setting , wonderful beaches , amazing staff and the best food! Oh and cocktails ! Pigs goats and not forgetting the 2 hawksbill cats . Infinity pool and plenty of sun loungers and the most amazing sunsets . Best stay ever .

Everything was great. We had a garden view bungalow with a nice view of the beach. Room was clean and I loved the big porch to sit outside. My only complaint is lack of counter space to put things on so it was a bit cluttered. Could of used more privacy too as you would have to close curtains for that. Pool was stunning, all the beaches were great. I snorkelled at two of them. Best is Eden Beach where we spent alot of time snorkelling and watching the pigs. If you like animals and nature this is the resort. Food was great and entertainment low key but good. The reason I gave it a four star is the lack of acknowledgement for my husbands 65th birthday. I emailed them to tell them and to request a king bed which we did not get, no big deal. But we always go to Jamaica and get treated well for all our celebrations. I guess guest services and reservation don't communicate. He never even got a happy birthday and had to sit and watch in the dining room while others got a special table and champagne. and a happy birthday. I am turning 60 next year and will not be celebrating here but it wil not stop me from going back as I had an excellent time but for celebrations would go elsewhere.

From start to finish the team at Hawksbill made our Mother/Daughter trip amazing! Prior to booking, I reached out both via email and through their instant chat on their website. They answered all of our questions and were very helpful. The location was great and the staff was so kind. We absolutely loved our room on the beach and the infinity pool. We booked two massages which were wonderful and did the private beach dinner to celebrate my daughter's 30th Birthday - the food, service, and presentation were excellent. I highly recommend booking at Hawksbill! Tip: Be sure to bring and use mosquito spray. Nearby activities We did an all-day trip through Barbuda express and highly recommend it! The staff at Hawksbill helped us arrange a taxi to the meeting point. Very warm greeting upon arrival with towel and champagne. Front desk staff and bell boy very courteous. The oceanfront room was dated, but clean. Old bathroom with strange toilet set up. The extended porch was lovely. We enjoyed sitting out there. We would have loved to use it more but the mosquitoes were abundant at dawn and dusk. Maybe the hotel can spray the grounds near the porches? Food was good to very good. Breakfast was our favorite. Although, many flies at breakfast which were annoying at times. Beautiful views at the breakfast/dinner restaurant. Espresso machine was a nice touch. We would LOVE a coffee service to the room in the morning to relax or a full sized coffee pot in the room. The **** chicken wrap at Seagrapes was delicious. We loved the cheese table at dinner and the homemade salads and soups were my favorite. The eggplant salad with goat cheese was delicious. Because we booked through the website, our mini fridge was replenished daily and the man who was in charge of the delivery was very kind. We loved the pool, however some days it was a bit slimey. An algae cleaner would fix that! The landscaping is beautiful. Flowers everywhere and hummingbirds, as well. This is a place for nature lovers. We also saw pigs on the property. The bartenders and wait staff were wonderful. They work hard. Nissy was our favorite. An evening sitting area next to the bar would be amazing. Outside. The area where the smokers were. We had such a relaxing trip at Hawksbill. This is a great place if you want peace and quiet. We will definitely return.

We had a fantastic time at this resort. Beautiful beaches, friendly and helpful staff (2 of many, are Brad and Fenton in photo) and great food. Our room (Garden Bungalow) was simple but very clean and comfortable. It was our first trip to the Caribbean, and we will definitely be back.

Hawksbill is a long established resort which has recently had a major refurbishment. Whilst this is to some extent still going on (march 2023) the revamp has been modest but mostly effective. Don't expect the polish of a Sandals but this is, in my opinion the best resort on antigua. Firstly it has four beaches, all quiet and well maintained. That is something you do not get anywhere else on the island. It simply has the best position, the setting is stunning. Food is simple and the entertainment is a little tame if youre of the younger persuasion but the service is great, the staff are friendly and the measures at the bar are generous. Last of all, the price point is lower than average so you are getting some of the best the island has to offer much cheaper than other resorts with more ritz but less genuine serenity and beauty.
