This hotel is getting a five star rating for me! If you’re looking for a luxury hotel this may not be the place for you… If you’re looking for a Nicaraguan EXPERIENCE then this is the place for you! I came here with a group of people on a nursing mission and we stayed here in Señor Gupta‘s hotel. He went out of his way to make us welcome from the moment we checked in. This is not a luxury motel nor is it meant to be. This will give you the absolute experience of Nicaragua. Señor Gupta has so much knowledge on the area excursions and also on the history of Granada. This was by far the most enriching experience of my lifetime and I cannot say enough about Señor Gupta‘s role in that enrichment. He truly does everything in his power to make you comfortable during your stay. The pool is fantastic and refreshing. There is no hot water but it truly is not necessary… When we came home after a long hard day of doing mission work in the villages that tepid shower felt fantastic! Señor Gupta went as far as to get local vendors to come to the hotel to sell us locally made coffee and chocolates so we could support the local businesses. He also allowed my mother to walk with him daily and he told her all kinds of interesting stories of the area so she could exercise without having to walk alone.
