The location is truly excellent, with convenient transportation and a lively surrounding area. The biggest surprise at the hotel was the view; the room offered a great panorama. The overall quality and decor felt very premium, not at all what you'd expect for this price point, making it great value for money.
The only minor drawback is that the room space is indeed quite compact. It's almost impossible to fully open a 24-inch suitcase. However, if you're on a short trip, this impact isn't too significant. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would consider staying here again on my next visit to Kagoshima.

The room was tiny. We were asked to switch rooms halfway through our stay because they didn't have any available themselves.
The room reeked of smoke.
At checkout, around 11:20 AM, we were told that checkout was at 11 AM. We were running a bit late due to an upset stomach and came down at 11:45 AM. They then informed us that we had to pay a fine. This fine was never mentioned to us over the phone. Their attitude was exceptionally poor.
Overall, a very bad check-in experience.

Location is great - just opposite the train station with lots of food/shopping and a Lawson on the ground floor. Only discovered on the last night that B1 has a collection of 15+ restaurants including a nice sukiyaki place.
Downside is that the rooms are really small (especially for two) and the hotel does not have a lobby to drop off bags if arriving by car.
Parking is not marked but is available at a car park behind the hotel. Think it was JPY1500 a night.

Everything about this stay was absolutely beautiful, with nice architecture and framing of Sakurajima. Access to the main station is also just through an underground walkway that connects directly to the hotel. Would recommend!

The room has a direct view of the Ferris wheel 🎡, and it's very close to the station, making it super convenient for getting around. Although housekeeping is every other day, it's quite clean. There are plenty of restaurants downstairs, so you'll never have to worry about finding food. The room size is perfect for one person. You can even see Sakurajima volcano from the hotel lobby.
