We really enjoyed our time here even though there were tropical storms and a lot of extra rain. The staff is super friendly! We loved the serenity pool a lot! Our rooms were cleaned 3 times during our two week stay and totally resupplied each time. Very comfortable! Elevators and stairs available.

Lovely resort in a lovely part of Kauai. Staff were great. Pools and food were exceptional. Unfortunately, they decided to replace the A/C cooling units affecting 2 buildings while we were here without any advance notice. Not what you expect with a Westin at the price point.

We loved staying at this resort. The grounds are well maintained and the staff works tirelessly to make the space beautiful. The villa was immaculately clean. Bedding and towels pristine. If we needed anything refilled the staff were very accommodating. The only issue is the number of Nene (geese) on the property and the damage they are doing to the grass and the amount of goose excrement on the pool decks and in the pools themselves. I understand that this bird is the official state bird and endangered, however they really detracted from our experience - we were very hesitant to get in the pool (it can be very unhealthy to be exposed to the goose excrement). The staff work hard at cleaning it up, but they can’t keep up with the amount lying around - especially in the morning. It is everywhere! There must be a solution. If the geese are looking for a source of water, the pools can’t be the best place for them to be drinking.

This is great place. Beach view is so so beautiful. Safe and very quite. Many pools and hot tubes. Enjoy a lot with my kid. Room is very spacious. 10 points for all

I really don’t understand the negative reviews for this resort. This place is spectacular. The grounds are immaculate, everything is open, the rooms are wonderful and the amenities are top notch. I was hesitant after reading some of the negative reviews and found them all to be incorrect. I would definitely stay here again and this is our sixth trip to Kauai.

We, an adult couple on vacation, chose the Westin based on photos and reviews. We were not disappointed by the location, beautiful grounds, or friendly staff/concierge. The room was nice and clean. By most measures, a great place to stay. HOWEVER we were not aware that all of the rooms at the Westin are adjoining (this was told to us eventually). In our case the room’s entry had bare walls and a tile floor with that connecting door to the neighboring room, which acoustically amplified everything going on. Unfortunately for our stay we had two different parties in that connecting room that made being in our room disappointing, waking us up in the night and early mornings with kids screaming and adults being sick in their bathroom. We had to make several noise complaints. The staff was nice enough about it but it’s a variable outside of their control, and it isn’t anything we considered when booking. I’m certain the one neighbors were doing their best to calm their children, and the others didn’t intend to get severely sick their first night in Kauai- but it’s the luck of the draw and for the price, we didn’t have one uninterrupted night of sleep. Really not trying to sound like a grumpy old man, but if you’re sensitive to those things maybe you’ll find this review helpful. If you’re a family traveling, or a heavy drinker, you’d likely not bat an eye at the noises. We spent the majority of our vacation at an Airbnb just down the road from the Westin that was Fantastic, inviting, and quiet when you just want some peace- and realized that was the better choice for us.

The resort amenities are lacking for such a large place. The lobby is small, the pool is small, and there is only one restaurant. However the staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and large. Our room faced a golf course and the ocean. It was very beautiful and peaceful.

Didn’t do daily cleaning. Floor grout was dirty and floor was sticky. House keeping came and changed towels and emptied trash. Or are we supposed to do cleaning ourselves including vacuum?

DONT GO TO THE MARRIOTT VACATION CLUB TOUR! I recently took a trip to Princeville Hawaii and took a resort for a Marriott Vacation club tour around Nov 9th Based on the information we were given we took the bate hook line and sinker and a $5600 a year maintenance fee. 1- We were told we had 100’s of properties to choose from 2- Bookings were easy just like going to Marriot’s web site 3- once we closed we could start our planning trips. This plan sounded great for our family based on the information they provided. We then signed up. December 30 2023 we received the notice we had closed and to sign up on their website. Once I was able to access the web site I found out. 1- It was not easy to book a desired room, everything was booked up 8 months out, I was told by member services that the reason was the timeshare owners had to turn their units in for points then something would be available. I was not told that we only had access to the last available, undesirable no view locations and had to wait for someone to trade theirs for one to come available. We were totally mislead as to the booking and availability aspect of the program. If I had access to the site before the closing I could have made a decision to cancel, I believe this process is done on purpose to allude the potential buyer otherwise and to wait the grace period out in their favor. 2- we were told we could trade our point for Bonvoy points to stay in the Hotels, this was our main reason to buy, but they neglected again to advise us that we got a much lower 1/3 the value if we trade and again, we have only found this out by accessing their website after the close date. 3- In addition to this Vacation prison we are stuck with, we now get calls every other day from the timeshare group soliciting more money to buy weeks and they “guarantee they can sell them for us and we could make extra money’ fortunately I know they cant guarantee us anything but they still continue to call when I have asked them to take me off the list. I wish I would have viewed the reviews before we waisted our time and money
