The hotel should be opened by the Chinese, using the jetwing brand and reservation system. The front of the hotel is the sea on the back of the railway. Therefore, the room must be selected clearly. If you choose to sleep badly at night, don’t live in the sea. Half of the room is a little better, with a balcony, a lot of hotel teams, from the Chinese chef, to Colombo, sitting on the sea train, not far from the door can sit, the most essential section, do not sit from Galle!

We had our wedding at Tangerine Beach Hotel Kalutara on the 1st of August, 2024, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the stunning location to the exceptional service, everything was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make our special day seamless and stress-free. Not a 5 star, maybe 4 star! Had disappointing stay. Beautiful place but not as beautiful and big as the pictures, clean rooms, very kind housekeepers but the staff were not so friendly and tried not help, specially females! we were 2 ladies and asked for ladies pad but they gave us just 1 pad after 2 days and said they don't have any ladies pad in the hotel! how is that possible? even in every public washrooms there is ladies pad too but in a 5 star hotel.. very disappointing. the location is not closed to any pharmacy or supermarket so we couldn't buy it by ourselves and they didn't help us! As a 5 star beach resort no seafood on the menu and also no international food. just local food full of spice and we actually didn't eat any food for 4 days! to everything we ordered, added 30% tax and service charge. what does it mean ”service charge” for a 5 star hotel to bring our order just to our table not even to our room?????!!!!!! also not possible to use the beach because it was very dangerous and there was just 1 man looked at us and didn't seem to rescue us if anything happened! and just 4 unclean plastic sunbeds on the beach, so many dogs slept under them! many many crows were all over the hotel and stole our foods and very scary but everyone just watched and didn't do anything! when we told the manager he just said we can't do anything, watch out your things!!!! no entertainment, no music just some entertainment plans that costs a lot plus 30%!! overall its not worth it to book this hotel. we heard there are many better hotels in the area.

A good hotel on the first line of the ocean, located away from the road and from the city, in the off-season there are no cafes and places to eat nearby, so you have to eat at the hotel, you can take a buffet for lunch and dinner. The beach near the hotel is the only place for swimming in the off-season, a natural breakwater protects the shore and forms a kind of ocean pool. Friendly staff, quick check-in, a large and warm pool, funny badgers/squirrels, monitor lizards dart around the territory became an additional bonus to a great time. Those who are looking for a relaxing holiday away from the reality of Sri Lanka, you are here!!

The room is not soundproof, you can hear the fart next door. In addition, there are singers singing in the lobby every night. The sound is so loud and noisy until after 11 o'clock. They don't stop and you can't rest at all. When cleaning the room, either bath towels or toothbrushes are not given. I think it is intentional, hoping that the guests will call someone to deliver them so that they can collect tips. This is also a common problem in Lanka hotels. The hotel is a bit old, but there are no tissues or slippers in the room. What's going on?

Breakfast is still good. But the room really feels that the price is very low. The room of 500 is shown below. Two 0.9-stitched beds, no place to put the suitcase, so moving out of the balcony can only say that the room is really small, the balcony to see is the picture is very scattered. This hotel is really lively, I feel very depressed, so I checked out after one night. In fact, Bentota has a lot of family-friendly B&Bs with good value for money. Generally, the breakfast is good for 250 packs. Come to Bentota and recommend staying at the B&B. This hotel is the second worst tourist in Lanka. There is no clothes to dry clothes. People who may live here do not wash clothes. It’s not good to go into the whole person. The swimming pool is a nice view and very close to the beach. This price is not recommended. Can be better.
