Hotel is modern , fresh , well maintained . Perfect for a relaxing vacation with gym , excellent long pool , yoga , sports area . Access to the beach is private and peaceful. Food spread was lavish Nd tasty . Staff is very friendly Nd goes out of the way to help you . We enjoyed the wide spread of food for new years gala dinner . Bar has good choice of liquor. You can take a tuktuk from hotel lobby roam around to see local life . Go to kalatura rich look store or others for cheap but good quality daily wear clothes . Beach is little rough . Spending 5 nights with hotel was relaxing then we moved to bentota to enjoy the beach which is smooth Nd one of the best I have come across travelling world around . Special thank to Tusharri to ensure we had the best stay Nd the personal touch she provided and Mr Prasad Wijesyriya for maintaining the hotel so well . You can always see them around with a smile and ensuring all guests are happy checking on them . Key feature is the long swimming pool . We are staying at Taj bentota now but we found citrus much better with pool , rooms and pricing for quality .

We recently stayed at this hotel with a group of about 30 colleagues from Xeptagon for a company outing, and we had a great experience. The hotel provided us with a separate area for our evening gathering, which was perfect for our group. The pool was lovely and refreshing, and the rooms were comfortable and clean, making for a relaxing stay. The food was good, and we appreciated the variety offered. We also enjoyed playing cricket on the spacious ground and found so many nice spots around the hotel to take lovely pictures. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would recommend it for group events or retreats. We stayed for just one night but had a memorable time.

Initial experience wasn’t great at check-in, as the staff wasn’t giving accurate information about dinner prices, and wasn’t very friendly. There were also a few issues in the room. But the front desk was able to coordinate with their internal house keeping and engineering team to solve the problems. We were happy with their services in the end.

The hotel should be opened by the Chinese, using the jetwing brand and reservation system. The front of the hotel is the sea on the back of the railway. Therefore, the room must be selected clearly. If you choose to sleep badly at night, don’t live in the sea. Half of the room is a little better, with a balcony, a lot of hotel teams, from the Chinese chef, to Colombo, sitting on the sea train, not far from the door can sit, the most essential section, do not sit from Galle!

The experience was very bad. I booked the hotel early, but when I arrived at the local hotel, I was told that there was no reservation information. A large group of people were waiting at the front desk. It was very bad. The entire communication was back and forth between three parties. What’s even more outrageous is that one of the bookings has no room. I never thought that a platform as big as Ctrip would make this mistake. Beruwala is hot this season and mosquitoes bite in the evening. The final solution is also terrible. I have never dared to do so again. Booked an overseas hotel on Ctrip.

It's really a hard-to-describe experience. No wonder not many Chinese people stay here. The hotel belongs to a local chain hotel. Although it is rated 5 stars on Ctrip, the hotel walls are covered with tripadvisor sgs and other certifications, and it is a legacy designed by Bawa, but it is really disappointing after checking in. It happened to be a small peak when checking in. Several tour groups checked in at the same time, and the front desk seemed a bit busy. Fortunately, the passports and luggage were not messed up, and the room card was safely obtained. The hotel is a bit large, and the building where the front desk is located is really 5🌟. Bawa's skills were definitely epoch-making works 50 years ago. But as soon as you leave the main building of the hotel, it's like going to another hotel, and the sense of age hits you. Especially the lawn in the middle looks like a prison yard. The lawn is undecorated and bumpy. There are a few wild dogs wandering around. After entering the room, it's just okay, but compared with the main building, it's worth 3🌟 at most. But because it is very close to the sea, the ground on the second floor will also be damp for no reason. Although the hotel was renovated in 2019, the facilities in the room are also very illogical. There is only one empty power socket in the whole room, and the rest are plugged in lamps, kettles, TVs and other equipment. The switch of the ceiling light is very interesting. The switch on the left bed controls the light on the right bed. When I checked in, I also took my child to the children's playground, which is the kind of indoor children's playground in domestic shopping malls, but the maintenance inside is really not good. The most terrible thing is that no one cares even when the cover of the electric box is opened. If it were in the United States, it would have been sued for compensation. The food is not expensive, but the taste is not online. But to be honest, the waiters here are more local and down-to-earth, probably because most of the hotel guests are locals. There are less than 10 white and Asian people in the whole hotel who stay for breakfast. It is obviously different from anatara where I stayed before. There may be more European and American customers there, and the employees are used to tiptiptiptip for everything. Bentota is more sincere

Good property at a prime location near taj and cinnamon. The property has a beach of its own, our room was on the ground floor that opened towards the beach. Rooms were spacious, bathroom was a little compact. The restaurant only serves buffet so we ate either at the coffee shop or at the cafes outside the property. They surprised us with a beautiful cake, balloons and a rose on our anniversary, a very sweet gesture. Only 1 complaint: the phone of the room was not working and even after complaints, it was not fixed. Also wish they had more food options on the beach side restaurant that majorly served drinks.
