I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Speke Resort, from the amenities to the food to the abundance of space. Horse Riding was amazing, as someone who’d never ridden a horse, I couldn’t believe the instructor was able to teach me to ride a horse unassisted. Going on the Jet Skis was such a great experience and the boat ride was so relaxing. All the staff took great care of us and made it a great experience. Can’t wait to stay here again on my next trip to Uganda

I stayed at Mestil for 6 weeks and it was an amazing experience. I thought I was getting an apartment, rather I got a community of wonderful people - a family of caring and selfless people. I remember one day I was late for lunch and I was really hungry such that my vision was getting impaired. I rushed to the restaurant and lunch had just closed. There was no food. Rather than turn me back, Sharon Bii, one of the hotel staff, called me back and handed me a pack of food that was meant to be for her. I insisted that I couldn't take it from her, but apparently she insisted more than me. I really felt cared for. Others including Cedric, Prisca and way too many others to mention went above and beyond to ensure my stay there was worthwhile. I high recommend Mestil if you like excellent service and a community of staff who are like family. One day I did not go for breakfast and they reached out to my room to be sure all was well. Other hotels will be thankful you did not show up. Thanks to you all. I really enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is in a strategic location, be sure to ask for the golf course side to avoid noise from traffic. Interior of the rooms is perfect, nice bathtub, warm water, hair dryer and carpet. The only annoying bit was ordering for food via intercom, Restuarant respondent wasn’t friendly and seemed to struggle with English. I asked to use the wine glasses from the bar but was asked to pay 10,000 for using the wine glasses. During the COVID curfew time (7pm), you will struggle to access an open supermarket coz it’s CBD area. I would surely check-in anytime. Price was amazingly low coz I booked online at trip.com
