Embun Luxury Villas

First and foremost, the villas are exquisite, exuding the grace of what a holiday villa should have especially the lobby courtyard front as well as the 2 bedroom pool villa that we stayed. The downsides were of 2 things, (1) transportation and (2) operations team that were on duty during my period stay. Transportation was an issue as we were travellers from Brunei, it was hard to get a Grab to elsewhere, even to airport. Im not sure if they tried to help us to contact any transport companies at all ( there is one male staff from the office sarcastically implying that it is impossible). Secondly, we did not have a good experience with the Operations Manager (male maybe not local), we are not sure if there is language barrier but we communicated in simple english. During checkout process, it was not smooth either. i had checkout and settled my bill with one of the female indian staffs. When we asked to be driven to the lower ground where our taxi awaits, the same operation manager forbid us to leave. he insisted and told us that we havent settled the bill and hence he cannot allow us to leave. Process took 30 mins or more as we explained to him that we have indeed paid and check out. It was there and then that the same indian female staff came out and told the operations manager that we indeed have settled the bill and checkout. TO my frustration, the operations manager could have easily checked with his team, to see if we have paid everything. Even on our day of arrival, he told us there is no way to get out of the villa (we were stunned at his usage of words). He was not apologetic, best of all. Their Operations team (front desk) are not trained to handle customers, in any way, be it the way they speak to guests or the usage of words, no hospitality grace at all. What a waste to the beautiful villas they have! However, there is one staff i would like to thank, (name forgotten- he has a homestay in janda baik), for bringing us around in the car and waited for us in the rain while we had our dinner on the first day of arrival.

We had an awesome time there! Felt so tranquil and relaxed. Great hospitality by Mr Taufik and his team - friendly and helpful. Foods was awesome and reasonably priced. Will definitely return to this place again.
