Just returned from Cape Kanapitsa. Booked last minute but as a frequent traveler to the island we knew where we were going which helped, although not stayed in this location/property before. Hotel. Amazing views from both room and pool/bar area. I would not describe as 5* and for female travelers NB no mirror in the room or a plug near enough to the one mirror in the bathroom for drying hair and makeup. Management please add a mirror in the room it makes a real difference especially if you are 5*. We only ate in the hotel for breakfast, but had plenty of choices but again not 5* but staff were very professional and topped up coffee/hot buffet and did special requests if needed. Bar area was great with wonderful cocktails, Mario and his colleague were very attentive. Pool area clean and had ample beds and chairs. Location. The hotel is set between two beaches. Both beaches have restaurants on them with beds (chargeable) with Kanapitsa being the cheaper of the two 15E for the day. A walk down hill approx 10 mins to bus stop 12 is serviced very well and 2E into town at night. Perhaps not great for anyone with mobility issues to walk back up to the property but we took a taxi after midnight for 15U. We tried every night to get into Jonny's but it was very busy and nothing after 8pm - next time we will book in advance! Local supermarket half way down the lane, was handy for essentials (water for beach, fruit and wine) Overall, perfect location 1/2 way along the bus routes and in easy reach of many of the beautiful beaches and town. Skiathos we will be back.
