The food is exquisite. The best Ryokan breakfast and dinner we've had. The dining setting stunning, which is facing the Noh Theatre! Should time our next visit when there is a performance. Even without a performance this time, tasting the duck broth, while watching the fish grill against a snowing background is still very enjoyable. Feel so grateful throughout the meals. The quality of onsen is excellent, with hot, cold and semi-outdoor bath options. Our room also has private toilet and bath, which is very convenient. This historic place is filled with tasteful artworks and artefacts, giving delightful surprise at every corner. There are also many cozy and lovely spaces for individual, couple or small group enjoyment. The only regret is we stayed for one night only this time, which is really not enough. Next time, will surely stay longer.

Traditional inn with rich history, the decor and gardens really showcase that. The onsen was quite dark, we didn't quite dare to use it because you couldn't see the floor of the onsen even during the day. The property was situated rather far in from the main road, but I do believe there are some buses that cover this route. (I drove though.) The staff was what made this stay really memorable. Looks to be run by a family / clan, where only the younger family members could speak more English. But because of how friendly and sincere everyone was, communicating was easy. The rooms were modest, with the staff laying out the bedding when we were out of the room for dinner. They also do the sweetest send-off parties for guests that are checking out - they waved till we were out of sight, felt like I was leaving my grandparents' house to head back to the city T^T

This a traditional Japanese onsen hotel that was built in a historical building with 230 tears old. The ambience is super nice as you can immense yourself in the authentic traditional ryokan style with hospitality. The service is impeccable. The only drawback is the outdoor onsen is too small and not literally outdoor.

The property was built in the Edo period, this tranquil hot spring inn is located 11 km from Kenroku-en garden in Kanazawa. It's quite close to from Morimoto train station. There is lots of free parking space, both breakfast and dinner are included but one must arrive by 6pm for dinner, which is served in a cozy restaurant. The gender-segregated communal bathhouse has both indoor and open-air pools with natural hot spring water, which is coffee brownish colour. There is a theatre stage which host an annual performance too. Amazing experience and well worth the visit. The hosts were so friendly.

The hotel is quite old, and its hot springs are a major feature; the water quality is excellent and very comfortable. The food is average (both breakfast and dinner are like that), similar to most Japanese hotels, so don't expect much.

Service: Excellent, quintessentially Japanese. Facilities: The hot spring water is incredibly smooth and refreshing! The description says it's an amber-colored, century-old hot spring. The water spouts out rich, slippery bubbles, and you can feel the water flowing. Afterward, I felt incredibly relaxed and slept soundly.
