Tokyu Stay Kanazawa

Relatively new, not old. The all-in-one washer-dryer is a great feature. Service: Very good, the front desk staff are very enthusiastic. Environment: This street is not far from Korinbo, Omicho Market, and Kanazawa Castle Park, all within walking distance. There's a Lawson conveniently located right across from the hotel.

First time staying with this brand, and overall it was quite good! I was very happy with the room assignment — high floor, away from the elevators and not facing the street, so the view was fantastic. The room size was quite large for Japan, and the facilities were great and very comfortable.

This was the best out of the three hotels we stayed at during our trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Kanazawa Station, and there's a bus stop conveniently located nearby. The superior double room was spacious and comfortable, with a well-thought-out layout that included a microwave and a washer-dryer. The front desk staff were attentive and friendly, and the breakfast was also very good. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Kanazawa!

Environment: It's across from Oyama Shrine and not far from Omicho Market, within walking distance. Service: Warm and thoughtful, with great attention to detail. The breakfast tasted good.

The hotel room was a good size, and the location was within walking distance to all the major attractions, which are quite concentrated in Kanazawa anyway. The hotel breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the taste was decent. A nice touch was the free coffee available in the lobby all day.

The hotel's location is excellent, right between Omicho Market and Korinbo, making it incredibly convenient to get around. Plus, it's right next to the Daimaru department store. The hotel itself is very new, with spacious rooms and modern facilities. The staff are very welcoming, and it seems like most of the guests are Westerners.

The front desk service was excellent, very warm and welcoming. The hotel's location is decent, but the one terrible thing is that it's on a main road, and it gets incredibly noisy at night! This time, my room was on the 3rd floor, and it felt like sleeping on a highway – so loud I couldn't get any sleep. When traveling, it's definitely better to choose a quiet hotel.

This hotel was the best one throughout our trip. Having visited Kanazawa before, I knew all their hotels are basically on the same street, making the location extremely convenient for attractions and well-situated. So, I didn't choose the usual hotel but picked this one which seemed like a good value for money. And the check-in experience was absolutely perfect. It's been a while since I've experienced Japanese-style service, and their service here was quite good. Although it's not a traditional ryokan 'okami' service (where they unpack your bags), all their staff members were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. The hotel is directly opposite Oyama Shrine, and you can walk through to Gyokusen-en Garden. We spent about 20 minutes exploring it in the morning. However, one thing to note is that linen changes and bathroom cleaning are subject to an additional charge. This might be something to consider for longer stays, but since we were only there for two days, it wasn't an issue. We booked a room with some basic kitchen utensils, so we were able to buy ingredients from the supermarket and make sukiyaki, which helped us balance our diet during the trip. The hotel is also very close to Omicho Market, making it convenient to buy fresh seafood and other groceries. For those on a shorter trip, cooking might not be necessary. Also, the hotel is quite new, and the room wasn't small, so it was very comfortable.
