Niyama is complete paradise - I had a short stay, just 2 nights, but it was sensational. I stayed in an overwater pavilion, everything you could possibly need was available in the room, and I was incredibly well looked after by my Thakku Mariia. The resort is spread over two islands, making it bigger than most in the Maldives, and plenty of space to wander - you're given a bike to make your way around the island, but can also get anywhere by golf buggy. Dining on the island is incredibly high quality and varied - breakfast at Epicure offers everything you could possibly want, and I had dinners at Tribal and Nest - Nest is a very unique setting - one I'll remember for a long time to come! There's a great natural surf break at the end of the island, which is unusual in this part of the world so it's a great destination for keen surfers. Spa area is beautiful with a great range of options on offer - I was so relaxed that I nodded off during my massage! I could continue writing for days about all of the positives the island has to offer - it's one of the best places I've ever stayed and I'd recommend it to families, couples, solo travellers - there is literally nothing I would change! Particular mention to the incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful staff who really made my stay very special.
