King Castle Mcleodganj-Centrally Heated and Air Cooled- Near Mall Road - Free Parking

I had a very mixed experience. On my first night I discovered that the bed linen had apparently not been changed from the previous guest. The sheets and pillowcases had a used smell, and there were marks on the linen. I reported it immediately, and the staff changed all the bedding in front of me without any fuss. After that, they really couldn’t have been kinder. Everyone was genuinely apologetic, they kept checking that everything was alright, and even treated me to several complimentary cups of tea during my stay. The room itself was comfortable and I enjoyed my time there. Clean bedding is something every hotel must get right, so I can’t ignore that initial housekeeping mistake. However, I also think it’s only fair to say that the staff did everything they reasonably could to put things right, and I left with a much better impression than I had on my first evening.

Location is superb, food is just awesome and services are too good. Ravi served us very nice, gently and too quick.

I stayed here for 3 days. Place is clean and at a reachable distance to mall road. It's a vegetarian hotel so in house restaurant has limited food options.

Sub par hotel, not worth the higher price Great location in Mcleodganj but expensive by India standards with many better options around and far friendlier owners around many properties in the area. I stayed a week beyond my online stay because of volunteering work near the Dalai Lama temple. The staff working were unwilling to bargain on the price of the room, never cleaned the room after multiple requests during my stay for simple things like a new sheet or something of the sort.

The property is perfectly located near the McLeod Gang monastery and a short walk to all the outdoor shops. The views from the rooms are stellar, and the staff is so courteous and professional. Sonya, the concierge manager is really fantastic and makes you feel like a special guest at this truly beautiful hotel. Highly recommended!
