Motel 6 Kansas City, MO - Airport

Just okay. Nothing special, but got the job done for a night.

My second stay; the gentleman at the desk went above and beyond, polite and gave me some travel advice. I will return

First, the staff was great. However, the property location felt unsafe and the room I checked into had multiple holes in the bathroom door, the tiles on the floor were damages, and it smelled like smoke. I spent a total of 1 minute in the room before going right back down to the office to check out and get my money back.

Supposed to be a smoke free room but smelled like an ash tray. Plus I see an additional charge of 60 dollars has been charged to my credit card in a separate charge. Won’t be staying at motel 6 again.

No other way to say it: This is a dive. I rated it "Okay" only in the sense that our rental car was not broken into and it was not so loud that we couldn't sleep. There is a handwritten sign on the ck-in window to the effect that "weekly & monthly" residents are subject to higher security deposits. (We saw some of this clientele---ouch!) The wall joints are cracking and the furniture is "war surplus". It's a "Motel 6", I know, but I've come to expect a more consistent, reliable budget product than this. Beware!

Disgusting room, hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned. The walls and towels and shower had deep stains. No shampoo or conditioner. The whole room smelled like smoke.

I don’t stay in this hotel because a lot homeless people outside the hotel

Required a $60 deposit, that you will receive in 3-5 working days if it's charged to a card. So, bring cash if you can.

They charged my card an additional incidental fee of $40, which wasn’t agreed upon at the time I booked the room, and wasn’t apparently voluntary since they took the money anyway. The amount of people screaming nearby, ridiculous sirens and sounds of what sounded like robberies nearby made it impossible to sleep. This was a horrible stay.
