The character greeting was relaxing.
The staff were very helpful.
However, the bath faucet in the room could not be closed properly, so water was constantly running.
And the coffee maker in the room was lukewarm, so it was disappointing that I couldn't use it.

Overall, I was satisfied and had a great time. The pool facilities are great and large, so you can have fun comfortably even when there are a lot of people. As rumored, there isn't much to eat, so it's inconvenient!

It's quite far from the airport, so I used Uber to get there.
The room was clean and towels were provided, but the bed was quite high, so people under 160cm might want to bring a step stool.
My impression of staying there was that it's a facility for families with children or Disney geeks, so a one-day stay is enough for a group of adults. It's also a good idea to go sightseeing in the area, but if that's the case, I think it would be better to consider another hotel nearby that looks cheaper.

The hotel is an hour's drive from the main beach of Wikiki. There are few people and the environment is good. There are many activities to play. You can interact with various dolls at close range. The room is relatively average (very cold). There are also many hot spring pools in the hotel. After playing It's great to be able to jump into the hot spring pool at any time. The biggest problem is eating. The internal restaurants are very disappointing. However, after leaving the hotel, there is a square opposite. Although there are only a handful of restaurants, they taste pretty good, especially the coffee at Starbucks. I go there every day and the tips are mind-boggling. . . There are only supermarkets and restaurants nearby. If your child suffers from gastroenteritis, you have to take a taxi to Wikiki to find a hospital. In short, it is a holiday destination with a good environment that children like. It is a bit boring to stay for a long time because you can only play in the hotel every day. Wikiki is more lively.

The bed was really nice, not too high
The mattress is not fixed and moves well.
I was terrified by putting the children to sleep horizontally in case they fall.
I miss it even when an adult gets out of bed
The staff are so friendly and nice the sea sunset was crazy
It's beautiful

After our third stay at Aulani, I realised that walking through the front door felt like coming home. It is such a cosy, welcoming space, and everyone is so warm and friendly that you can't help but feel at ease. We've stayed in both a studio apartment and a one-bedroom suite, and both were extremely comfortable and equipped with all the amenities needed for a long or short stay. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, blending Hawaiian charm with modern conveniences, making every visit special. Located on the serene Ko Olina coastline of O‘ahu, Aulani is ideally situated for a relaxing holiday while still offering access to some of Hawaii’s most popular attractions. The resort sits about 40 minutes from Honolulu and Waikiki Beach, and it’s a short drive to the stunning beaches of the North Shore, the hiking trails of Waimea Valley, or the must-see experience of the Polynesian Cultural Center. Closer to the resort, you’ll find Ko Olina Lagoons—calm, picturesque beaches perfect for a day of sunbathing or snorkelling—and the Ko Olina Golf Club. As a resort and a Disney resort, Aulani does lean toward the pricier end of the spectrum. Food and beverages are on the more expensive side, but the quality is generally excellent, with a variety of dining options to suit different tastes. For those seeking flexibility or wanting to save a bit, the rooms with kitchenettes are fantastic for preparing your meals. Just a short walk out of the resort, you will also find a few restaurants, a convenience store and a few other interesting shops. While Aulani offers plenty to keep you entertained within the resort, I highly recommend hiring a car to explore the island fully. Having a car gives you the freedom to discover hidden gems like Lanikai Beach, the local farmers' markets, or the vibrant food trucks along the highways. O‘ahu has so much to offer, and Aulani is a perfect base for these adventures.

We had an incredible time at this wonderful hotel. We had visited previously during Fall break and it was very crowded. This time we made sure to visit earlier and it made all the difference. The staff was very friendly and the food was great (although expensive). The kids loved the private beach and the lazy river.

Here right now . Do not expect a premium experience while here! Premium prices for a Walmart experience. There are virtually no chairs available no matter what time of day you go down to the pool. I mean not even 1. There are also no chairs available by the beach. If you want to get your steps in, then come to Aulani Disney resort because you will spend your day looking around for chairs and waiting for someone to hopefully leave so you can sit down. There aren’t enough floats for the lazy River either so if you want to float the River , bring your own float . If you didn’t book auntys Beachhouse 45 days out or whenever it opens up for booking then you’re not getting in there. Workers there are the least friendly that we’ve come across also at this resort . We’ve been here twice before ( most recently 6 years ago) and it was NOT like this . The service level is mid at best and we have noticed more workers that aren’t friendly and happy as you’d expect with Disney. Truly so disappointed with the vacation . It certainly doesn’t align with the previous visits we’ve had here , or on a Disney cruise, or on our numerous trips to Disney World and DisneyLand. Plus side is the characters are great and short lines to see then . The cleaning staff are pleasant and such a breath of fresh air . I will say that after complaining about the lack of chairs twice in 3 days I did get offered a cabana for free of charge for tomorrow . So that leaves me with just 6 days of laps around the pool area now during our week vacation.

What an awful place. I would not even give it one star . The whole place looks worse than the photos. A complete concrete monstrosity with zero charm or appeal. Zero class. We went as part of a meet up with family. We wouldn’t normally have chosen any type of Disney resort usually after having visited Disneyworld once before and hated that too. The staff are quite rude and appear bored most of the time. The whole atmosphere is one of the most grandeur tackiness . Junk food galore and if you want a decent meal then sorry , it ain’t gonna appear. They have the audacity to describe their menus to sound like a five star restaurant- beware the food is tacky USA rubbish. Getting a pool chair is like a visit to Benidorm , get out early and drop your towel and dare anyone to challenge you to move it ! The characters costumes looked grubby and the shows are a cheesy mess. In fact the whole place could have been modelled on the Benidorm sitcom. Do yourself a favour - if it’s a classy, five star experience you want , save your cash and choose somewhere like the Maldives where no creature in a furry suit will jump on you from behind a bush.

This was our first visit to Aulani. Surprisingly, it is not overly Disney. They don't play Disney songs in the common areas. Character sightings were rare for me. My kids so a few characters in passing. There are touches of Disney like Mickey Mouse lamps and Mickey shaped ice creams and snow cones. But otherwise, it is minimal. Our two bedroom villa was very comfortable for our family of five with two upper teen kids and an elementary aged kid. The beds were comfortable. We had two queen beds and one king plus sleeper sofas. There are three tvs and 2.5 bathrooms. Perfect amount of room for our family. We hit the nearby Target to buy some food to prepare some meals in the room. Otherwise, we ventured out around the island for meals or ate at the resort. You can expect resort prices ($16 for a caesar salad). The pool deck and beach can be crowded. We never had trouble find a few chairs together. Given the time difference, we were often up and ready to hit the pool by the time it opened. So getting chairs was no issue. It doesn't really start to fill up until about 9:30 AM. Hotel service is fantastic, as you would expect from Disney. I think the hotel has a capacity of 4,000 people, and is almost always at a high occupancy level. We did a cabana one day. Definitely worth it. The pools and lazy river are fantastic. The infinity pool is great, too. There is even a small water park for kids. Be sure to take in a few sunsets from the pool or beach. They are breathtaking. Valet parking and self-parking are the same cost, so we did valet. They are very quick when retrieving the car. Overall a great stay. I would say the hotel is a bit over priced for what you get, but it is Hawai'i. The price is in line with nearby resorts, so you don't feel gouged, but still, I felt like it was overpriced and a little dated.

My Fiancee and I recently stayed at Aulani on a 1 Bedroom Ocean View suite from 17 Jan to 23 Jan 2025. I am a DVC member but promise to give an honest assessment even though its my 3rd time to Aulani in 5 years. Kim and I got engaged in Maui the week prior as this was a 3 island trip I planned for us. Aulani is beautiful and the service terrific. We enjoyed the Olelo Room Bar area, Hot Tub, Lazy River, Pools and the convenience of what was nearby. The biggest comment is for two indivudals in the Olelo Room bar, Aukai and Jeana. Both provided outstanding service, quality food and drinks and provided helpful insight to local places we were interested in visiting. We felt it was important to mention them because we did come back a few times to just enjoy the great service and nice atmosphere. My one concern I did have and its not a bad thing but I miss the open menus that the other restaurants used to have. I see more catering to the Disney Dining which is ok but my fiancee is Vegatarian and the Olelo room was the only option that could serve her food she could enjoy. The other places used to have more options but its not just a tailored 4 course menu.

I have to start this review, by saying we live on the east coast of the United States and this was our 7th time visiting Aulani. We are now 70. These visits have been without any children. That should speak volumes of what we think of this incredible resort. The design of Aulani is unlike any other hotel you find in Hawaii. It’s amazing design celebrates the Hawaiian culture almost everywhere you look. It’s a feast for the eyes and the senses. While it is a Disney property, and there are ample opportunities for character encounters, the best character here is the resort and its cast members. It’s two lounges both offer very decent food offerings and great drinks and service. There is also carry out offerings from the Ulu cafe for breakfast, lunch and dinner. An evening at a table outside the Olelo room, having some sushi and a cocktail while listening to Wonderful Hawaiian performers is as close to paradise as one can get. Of course Aulani suffers from “chair hogs” a problem almost every resort and cruise ship encounters. People who drop towels on a dozen pool chairs at 8AM. We, however, never had a problem getting two chairs with an umbrella on the beach. Returning the Aulani Quiet pool this year to an adults only area, was a welcome change. It was “adults only” when the resort opened and we were delighted to find it “adults only” again There have been some other changes since the property opened that we would love to see return to how they were originally. We sorely miss Ama Ama as an a la Carte restaurant. As a price fixed restaurant, it’s a high price for such a limited menu. In the past we might eat there 3 times in two weeks. Since the change we haven’t eaten there once. We also miss Ama Ama as a 2nd musical offering. We’ve seen some absolute Hawaiian legends there over the years For those first timers, there are plenty of places “off campus” to enjoy cheaper and more local offerings and also a number of places in Walking distance to just mix up the menu a bit. We will be back for an 8th time. It’s just that good.

The location is nice and the activities are fun, but in classic Disney fashion they charge for basically any activity you want to do. This wouldn't be a problem if there were other options out there around the way, but since you are kind of not near any other parts of the island, you are basically stuck. The pool chair complaint everyone else seems to have is a bit overblown in my opinion, are you not able to get the best seats you want whenever yes, but that's life. I do wish the food options were better, we ended up driving around almost every night looking for better options, which wasn't hard to find.
