Karachi Marriott Hotel

The hotel is really outdated. The hallway between the elevator and the rooms smelled terrible, and even air freshener couldn't cover it up. The room facilities were also very old, and the disposable slippers had clearly been used. It was absolutely disgusting! 🤮

This is one of the top three most expensive hotels here, and the security and service are both excellent. The breakfast is also delicious, and the security is very strict.

This is a pretty upscale hotel, but the value for money isn't great; it's not worth the price. If it were cheaper, I might stay again, but if the price remains this high, I wouldn't want to come back.

This rating is based on the Marriott Karachi being a 5-star hotel. Firstly, the service is genuinely poor, completely lacking in service awareness. The number of towels in the room is inconsistent; sometimes they provide fewer than needed. The staff only smile at potential tips. The lobby is grand, but the rooms are old-fashioned, feeling like carpentry from the 30s/40s. The bathrooms use local stone, with a generous amount of grout. Pakistan is a major cotton producer, yet the bedsheets and duvet covers are old and pilled, completely unfriendly to the skin, and a 'museum-grade' white color. I'm not sure if it's for safety reasons, but you can't open the windows. The ventilation system is quite powerful, and the AC is very cold, but it's noisy.
