Dvorak Spa & Wellness

The facilities were good and the view was nice. I received the spa service, but it's a pity that the time was short, but the child and our couple were satisfied. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, but overall it was satisfactory for the price.

Nice staff, a nice stay. The food was good and plentiful. What bothered me a little were the black silicone joints in the bathtub, everything needs to be renovated. The swimming pool is also very old. All in all, I would recommend it for the price.

Rooms and service are good. Excellent breakfast and dinner. The location is unbeatable as all shops, water fountains and restaurants are within walking distance. When we arrived we were surprised that we had to pay €20 per day to park our car, something we had never experienced before. Very little seating and lying space in the sauna relaxation room.

We became acquainted with the Dvorak Hotel back in 2006, when we first came on vacation to Karlovy Vary. In subsequent years, when we received holiday cards, we were amazed at how organized everything was. Starting in 2021, we come here every year with the whole family. At the Reception, Violetta and Natalya will always help you resolve any issues that arise with joy and a smile. In the restaurant, Misha, Eliška and Tomas will provide delicious food for both adults and little guests, and Radka and Ivanna will provide simply excellent service. Angelina, Natalya and Maria help them a lot. Oksana will clean the rooms quickly and when it is convenient. This year, the treatment is carried out by a professional team: Ida, Alexander, Stefan, Yana, Petra, who already treat from the start with their attention and desire to help. This year, my son’s birthday at the Dvorak Hotel was perfectly organized thanks to Marika. Very nice hotel, with a slightly complicated layout due to the location close to the hill. Spacious room, equally bathroom, great attention to detail. The manager Olga is very kind and friendly, as is Tatjana at the reception, they really make you feel at home. The pool is not very big and is colder than I expected. But bright and overall pleasant. The hotel is located practically at the entrance to the town. It has its own parking which is not very easy to reach, but is sufficiently spacious. Dogs allowed.

We booked through SecretEscapes in the morning, packed our bags and set off. When we arrived, our booking was not in the system, the lady at reception was very helpful and after 10 minutes everything was sorted out. OK, that made a good impression. The dinner (buffet) was such that we decided to eat out the next evening. There was only one elevator to the restaurant working, so we always had to wait a long time for the elevator at meal times. Room service did not replenish used items such as sugar, tea or cosmetic products. There were not only two tea bags and three sugar sachets for coffee and milk. Overall, the hotel is in a state that urgently needs renovation and modernization. The staff are friendly and helpful. The trouble started the next morning. Breakfast was standard. Before we strolled through the old town, we checked our wellness treatments at reception, which were included in the offer, and ordered bathrobes, which according to the booking should have been in our room since the evening before. When we returned 3 hours later, we received our appointments at reception. There were still no bathrobes in the room. We asked at reception three more times and were always told to come back later. And we were told things like: "You can go to the massage in your normal clothes." (Are you serious? And after the oil massage I'll put my normal clothes back on, right?) The fourth time we asked we were told we could get some tomorrow. Sorry, it's our check-out day so I don't need bathrobes anymore. So the wellness trip was off the table for us. We canceled our appointments immediately. Sorry, but I'm not going to run across the hotel to the spa area wearing a normal towel. Especially since the towels didn't look so great anymore and in some places they were so thin you could see through them. I've never experienced anything like that in a hotel before. And for a wellness and spa hotel, that's absolutely unacceptable. Even though we booked through SecretEscapes, the hotel wasn't exactly cheap at over €200 per night and we definitely expected better service. Overall, the old town of Karlovy Vary is very beautiful. We will definitely come back, but definitely not to this hotel.
