The pictures are particularly tempting with the pool. To be honest, we thought it was great at 32 degrees. But there were also a few things that weren't good: - you can only park in the hotel car park in town. That car park has 8 very narrow parking spaces for 12 rooms. When the hotel is fully booked, 4 rooms have to walk to the next car park! - almost all of the employees we met there speak little to no German or English. The owner also seemed unfriendly and very stressed. - there was no information at check-in that only two restaurants in the town are open in the evenings, their kitchens close at 8 p.m. and completely at 9 p.m. By 6 p.m. the place already seems deserted. - the hotel's website is no longer up to date, as there is neither a restaurant upstairs by the pool (now a self-service bar with a camera) nor one down by the street, where there is now a large souvenir shop and a small cafe. - the room was directly under the roof and very hot, a small fan doesn't help! - the bed was/is flat and almost on the floor. The mattress is also too soft and thin! - the breakfast is simple and you expect more for the high price of the room and the supposed 4 stars - for our 5 year old, who slept in the gap between the double bed and hardly ate anything, we had to pay an extra 20 euros on top of an already too high room price - for longer parking after check-out, the hotel charges a full daily parking fee of almost 27 euros. The barrier won't go up without payment! This isn't mentioned in advance either! RIP-OFF!! Overall, we were disappointed not only with the hotel, but also with the town and the castle. Everything was very expensive and there wasn't much to see! If you still want to see the castle, you should take a day trip without an overnight stay!
