Ikoi Villa

Quite good! It gave us a taste of a traditional Japanese ryokan and the onsen culture. It was a bit unusual not having a shower in the room, only a toilet, but it was fine! The only minor drawback was having to make the futon ourselves, but we took it as part of the experience. Also, there was no other table to put the kettle on, so we had to use the sink, and only two outlets in the room was also quite inconvenient!

The hotel's overall environment is very peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle, making for a very relaxing stay—perfect for travelers who need a good rest. The room was clean and tidy, with modern facilities and good soundproofing, so it was very quiet at night, leading to excellent sleep quality. Despite its peaceful setting, the hotel's location is still convenient; getting around doesn't feel remote, striking a good balance between accessibility and tranquility. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and it's a hotel I'd definitely choose again.

You guys, you have no idea! My very first time staying in a cabin, having a BBQ, soaking in a spacious communal bath, and cycling through the mountains in Karuizawa was just incredible. All the toiletries were Pola, and they even provided a curling iron! I absolutely loved it! At night, stepping out of the cabin to use the restroom in the main lodge, I looked up, and the night sky was absolutely ablaze with stars 🌃🌟. It was truly breathtaking!

Extremely convenient accommodation, but not ideal if you have large luggage as it's stairs-only. You also need to be aware there's no private shower. What really stood out was how delightful and friendly the staff were!

The room was spacious, and the Japanese-style tatami mats were very comfortable! The hotel is located in Nakakaruzawa, which is very quiet with fresh air. Bicycles are available for rent. It's conveniently located just one stop from Karuizawa, only a few minutes away.

Overall, I was satisfied with this hotel. The room was quite large, but the tatami mattress was uncomfortable. I only felt comfortable sleeping on it after using a down comforter as a bedding. The building had a slightly dated feel, and the amenities were a bit old, but the price was reasonable. The location is within walking distance of the Stone Church, the Highland Church, Hoshino Onsen, the Village Canteen, and the town of Yushu Street, about 15 minutes away. Yushu Street has Kawakami-an soba noodles and Maruyama Coffee. Overall, it was a good hotel.

The hut was very clean, and when we had a barbecue they provided everything from cooking utensils and tableware to seasonings (except for the food), and they also cleaned up after us, which was great ^ ^ It was a great memory! However, the toilet and water area were far away, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, although this may be due to the environment, there were inevitably a lot of bugs, so if you're sensitive to these, I recommend not choosing a hut.

Although there is no hot spring and only a shared bathroom, the room is spacious and clean; Although there was no greeting, nothing was decided. The room rate was not expensive but comfortable. satisfy! I will recommend it to my friends.

The service staff is very friendly and it’s a great stay! Hope to have the opportunity to stay again!
