Ammon Zeus Luxury Beach Hotel

Breakfast and evening meal were excellent, .lots of choice and a different theme for each evening meal. Staff from all departme ts went out of there way to be welcoming, friendly and helpful. The beach and sea were one of the best I have been on throughout 40 years of holidaying in Greece. Great place to spend a week doing nothing but swim, and eat and chill We had a deluxe sea view room with a good sized balcony

One of the best resort I have visited till now. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. From the balcony, we could view the sea and feel the cool breeze. The scenery was amazing! The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect. Hotel's private sandy beach is just at the front with very clean and clear tircuaz water, a very good place to relax and to have a drink or a snack from Fresco pool bar or if you are an ouzo lover grab the opportunity to taste special Greek dishes at Greco's Mediterranian Cuisine. I must say the location of the resort is at the best place of Kallithea the most vibrant village in Halkidiki. Historical place as well , as the temble of Greek ancient God Ammon Zeus is within hotel premises.If someone wants to visit the temple then they could directly walk down along the path and reach the temple within 5 minutes. Last but not least, if you are staying at a see view room don't miss the spectacular sunrise!!!!

Myself and a friend came to this gorgeous hotel for a 10 day break. We were greeted by the most wonderful Receptionist and Concierge, who seemed genuinely happy to see us, they were helpful & very attentive. What also struck us on arrival was the cleanliness and light airy decor which was so calming and modern, the place smelt gorgeous and we knew we were in for a wonderful stay and we weren't disappointed. I had an issue as I'd forgotten my medication and the Receptionist was so helpful contacting the pharmacy trying to sort it for me & that was on day one! As we had arrived fairly early and our room wasn't ready we went to the pool side bar where we were greeted by the Food and Beverage Manager (Steve) and what a joy he was, in fact his approach to his work was so professional, helpful, attentive and a great team member, we were offered different wines to try as we weren't sure what we'd like until we were happy with our choice, nothing was too much trouble and this continued throughout our stay. We had a lovely clean room, this was cleaned daily (maybe not the floors) but always made up. The air con was excellent and the bathroom was very clean and modern. Breakfast was fantastic with a huge variety of fresh fruit, English and Continental choices, omelettes to order, breads, cheeses, jams with great coffee which isn't the norm in my experience. In fact the food was so good we decided to try the buffet evening meal, which they offer at 29 Euro's per person with a bottle of wine and we weren't disappointed, every evening there is a different style whether it's continental night, Greek, Spanish, Italian it was all delicious and for that reason we ate at the restaurant every evening, the food was hot, great choice and a lovely atmosphere sitting by the sea with interesting, helpful staff who all clearly work very hard. There were some great staff including Tasos who was so interesting and sweet, Nina & Katarina were a joy and again Steve, who couldn't do enough, he clearly leads by example and is very popular with the staff, immaculately dress, very high standard of cleanliness and an asset to this hotel. Lastly thank you to the lovely Reception Manager and male Receptionist who was so helpful and kind when we missed our transfer (whoops) We would not hesitate to come back to this hotel, it was immaculate, well led and I would recommend it to anyone taking a trip to Halkidiki, we will definitely return.

We had beautiful stay! Amoun Zeus is a perfect place to stay in Kalithea. The room was cozy and clean. Breakfast was excellent and varied. The hotel team has always been friendly and helpful. That impressed me the most. Next trip to Kasandra we will definitely check into Amoun Zeus again.

Solid quality beachside hotel. Wouldn't really call it "luxury" though. We had a sea view room, which is definitely worth it for the beautiful view across the bay. Apparently, all standard rooms have the same layout. Bigger suits are on the top floor. Room is fairly tight on storage space. We were two people for a week (just one suitcase), still had things lying around all over the place since there is not enough space in the closet for everything. Overall, was not a problem for us since didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Sea is perfect both for just dipping and for swimming. Very clean water. Fairly shallow for a while, but still deep enough to swim, and then gets properly deep about half way to the end of the swimming area (which is very wide, so plenty of room for swimming). The beach is narrow and can get crowded. It is a public beach where everybody has access to, but umbrellas and sunbeds are free for hotel guests and only sold out to outsiders if there are spare ones left. Bigger cabanas are free for those staying in suits, for others it's 20 euros. Get out early if you want to get a better spot, like closer to the end of the row of umbrellas (to have a little more free space around, and also to have sun in the afternoon for longer - umbrellas directly in front of the hotel are overshadowed by the hotel building from about 16:30-17:00). Breakfast nicely varied and good quality, including an omelette station. For dinner they have nightly buffet option (for those that do not have dinner included it is 29 euro per person plus a free bottle of wine). We ate there a couple of times, when there was a Greek night. Good enough variety and quality. There is plenty of local food options too, both in Kalithea (just up on the hill), and in Afytos which is about 1.5 km away. Kalithea is nothing special, just a standard seaside tourist place. Afytos is more authentic and has better and nicer restaurants. It is nicely walkable to Afytos, took us about 40min. Can take a taxi too, of course. Ate at restaurant Strouboulis, very good food. Apparently need to book - we could just get a table because it was fairly early. Another brilliant restaurant, especially for seafood, is Diaz in Kalithea, a little bit down the road from the hotel (you go up the hill, turn left and follow the sidewalk of the seaside road for something like 800m). Located on the top of the hill right next to the sea - garden tables are under the trees and have nice sea views. This one definitely needs to be booked at least a day ahead. In terms of attractions, there is not that much of highlights in the immediate area. We made a trip to Meteora, which was great and definitely worth it (also, a nice hiking and culture break from lying on the beach - did it right in the middle of the week). It is 4 hours drive, so best is not to try doing it in a day. We rented a small car from Dimitris (little office just up the hill from the hotel) which was good quality, air-conditioned and not

First time to Halkidiki, so first time at this hotel. We were blown away. It's stunning. The hotel inside and out are immaculate. We upgraded to a seaview room (220) and in our opinion we had the best room, it was on the end so we had a fabulous view in front of us and also to the side overlooking the other beach so plenty to see. The bedroom has everything you need, including chargers, we were able to charge all our devices, wish i had known beforehand as could have left them at home, WiFi works all over the hotel including beach, we had a cooler ( not a fridge) so takes a while to chill, ice can be got from the beach bar. Bed was very firm but they provided a mattress topper and that was brilliant. Kettle and a coffee maker are in the room, all bathroom amenities supplied, shampoo , conditioner, body lotion, all top quality. Shower was powerful, so very refreshing. Hairdryer was a bit of a let down, more hot air than blow dry. The breakfast was incredible, buffet style and everything you could think of for breakfast was provided. The beach was just gorgeous, white sand and clear bluey aquamarine water. Sunbeds so comfy, towels are provided. You can also order food and drinks from your sunbed. Pool was stunning with fabulous sunbeds and umbrellas. The staff are just brilliant, always smiling, polite and an absolute asset to the management. Nothing is too much trouble. We loved it so much that we've booked to come back again in September. 5 stars all the way.

What a lovely hotel! Right on the beach, with a lovely pool and beautiful views of the turquoise sea! The staff were really friendly and helpful and really couldn’t have been nicer. We ate breakfast in the hotel and dinner once, it was all delicious and there was lots of choice! All the food seemed very fresh and of a good quality. Location wise, for the beach it couldn’t be more perfect. There is a steep hill up to the town though, and although not a long walk (5 minutes or so) it tricky if you’re not too fit in the heat! The town of Kallithea is not very pretty but has good restaurants and bars and lots of shops, with surprisingly nice holiday stuff! We didn’t really do much in the local area, as we spent most of our time relaxing on the very comfortable sun beds on the beach and around the pool! We did visit Afytos, which is a pretty little village. One tip - we had a garden view room, so slightly cheaper (with Jet 2), however it was the end room so also had a good view of the sea too!
