A great hotel. There is only a wire fence between the hotel and Yala Nature Reserve, but the animals are not separated. You can see many animals in nature in the hotel. In the jungle without light pollution, the night sky is amazingly beautiful... …Dinner and breakfast were very sumptuous and delicious. Our guide Achi took us on a whole day of safari. His driving skills were superb. All the cars would give way to Achi when they saw him. This was obviously because of his professionalism in finding animals. The boss MAHESH was very enthusiastic and took the initiative to take a lot of photos for us. The quality of the photos was far above average. Unfortunately, I didn’t pay attention to the names of the other staff members, but each of them was very friendly and enthusiastic. In short, this was the whole experience for me and my children. My favorite hotel on our trip to Sri Lanka, my son can’t wait to go back!

An amazing camp hotel, very close to Safri. The beautiful starry sky at night and the cute little animals (animals) everywhere are really a novel experience. The service is warm and attentive. The one who impressed me the most was the super versatile and powerful Safari guide Achi (the one grilling in the photo), and the other was the waiter in the first photo. The service was attentive and considerate. In short, it is recommended for friends who love nature and animals.

The service is very good and the environment is average. It's just a big tent. If you want to stay in hotel facilities, don't stay. There is no hot water, no toiletries, and there will be invasion by flying insects and small geckos. It's an experience of being close to nature.

總體不錯，小孩另外到店付50美金一人。離開房間記得關閉所有的燈，不然晚上回去全是蟲子！當天入住6間房全是中國人，老闆很熱情，所有的吃的喝的都包含在內的，晚餐喝了十多瓶可樂以為要另外收費。第二天的safari，老闆要價100美金一人，比外面要貴不少，為了方便還是老闆那裡訂。第二天早上五點半出發，老闆會帶上三明治喝的，結束時候在海邊享用。

This was an amazing experience and we would certainly return if we were to come back to Sri Lanka! First, the service is out of this world from the seeming house manager Ravi making sure everything is in order; to our excellent safari driver Achi able to find so many animals and get amazing pictures; our hiking guide Madawa, and everyone else on staff. They all strive to make this an unforgettable experience! The camp itself is very beautiful with the restaurant being high above the canopy overlooking the park to the 'tents' nestled in the jungle below. The large permanent tents had well working air conditioning, comfortable beds with mosquito nets, and full bathrooms with hot water. It was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka and in the middle of a national park! The safari was incredible, we did a 2-night packages with offered us 1 half day safari and one full day safari. We saw so may amazing animal and for our full day safari Achi was out of this world. It is obvious that all the drivers seemingly work together to communicate animal sightings, but Achi just seemed to get us to the really good ones right away. He also had a really nice camera with him and shared the pictures with us when we got back! All we had were our phones. It was also great talking with Achi as we drove around. We also had the fortune to get a short guided hike up a near-by peak the morning of our last day. That was truly a treat! Great views of the park from there and a nice way to get a little workout. The food was also good for the breakfasts and lunches offered. They were very good at accommodating my wife being gluten free which was very much appreciated. I would say that it seemed the dinners were a little uninspiring, but still good food for what it was. If you are looking for a luxury safari glamping experience I would highly recommend Yala Safari Camping! They truly go for their slogan: Beyond Expectations! Some of the staff even had this tattooed on their arm!

This hotel is definitely an ideal choice for safari adventures. The manager Ravi welcomes us at the meeting point and escort us to their exact hotel location with their private jeep. What awaiting us are the friendly Hotel crews with their welcome drinks and sumptuous seafood & Sri Lankan lunch. Thanks to Ravi and Mahesh for the amazing safari game drive, their efforts and passion to look for the wild animals that we can see here, including leopard of course! Also very close distance encounter with the elephants just drive us crazy. Well prepared bbq dinner under the starlight surprises us! Such a romantic ambience. We are serve with good food and free flows of alcoholic beverages. We need to walk down 60 steps of staircase to reach our room. The room is close to nature, yet spacious and comfortable. The lobby and restaurant area overlooks the national park offers the most stunning view especially during the sunrise! Last but not least , every hotel crews around here are super helpful and friendly, make us feel home! Everything here are simply Beyond Expections!

What an amazing experience- we did 2 nights and had a 4 hour game drive then next day 10 hour game drive. The latter was by for the best as you have time to sit and wait for the game to appear and when they do to enjoy it. Our guide and driver was Achi and the site manager Ravi- who were absolutely fantastic. Both been with site from day 1 which was 14 yrs ago so knowledge of best spots is unbelievable. We saw leopards, sloth bears, elephants, Samba deer, loads of birds , crocodiles, water buffalo . Achi also takes great photos- if you into animals ,this is for you. Food- amazing and chef Promod and his team - Madawa,Chamara &Chamith were so creative. Jumbo fresh prawns on Day1 are just the best. Accommodation is comfortable and adequate for where you are- you are separated from Block1 by an electric fence!!. Not the cheapest but the old saying- you get what you pay for. Outstanding experience overall! We stayed only one night which included two safaris (evening & morning). Our guides Ravi & Achi where on definately on top of their game, we saw all we wished for, tusk elefant, leopard and even a sloth bear 😊 The food and accommodation is also stunning with the view over the Yala NP. We enjoyed traditional Sri Lankan meals which where some of the best of the whole journey. We can only recommend and thank Mahesh and his team a lot 😊😇

This safari experience was truly in every single way way beyond any expectation. This is truly a luxurious safari experience but for a very reasonable price. We did the overnight safari experience with an afternoon and morning safari. The transportation to camp, the camp and grounds itself, our tents/cabins, the staff, the two safaris, the food, the safari leader were all absolutely perfect. I cannot wait to come back to Sri Lanka to do a longer three day safari experience with Yala Safari Camping.

So firstly this really is in the middle of the bush just outside Yala Safari park , nothing to do here except do a safari which is why you book it , but we booked it and on arrival they said did we want you to go on safari as well ?! Er yes not a single other reason why you would be here , There’s not even a pool , so of course you say yes but wow ! That is when they have you and charge you $200 per morning or afternoon safari! The tent is far from luxurious as it is described , it said we had a jacuzzi room , it’s just a bath sunk into the floor ! The hotel staff and r as need were though really good , the first lunch was excellent and then it went downhill . Our breakfast on the game drive was a cheese sandwich, a square of very dry cake and a chocolate drink - we stopped next to others who had hoppers , kottu etc . My partner is vegetarian and her fist lunch was also excellent , then it was almost as though she was forgotten about as her dinner was a plate of vegetables (cabbage and carrots ) , some toast and a plate of chips ! Oh and by the way , you must be fit and healthy as you have to climb 70 steps ftom your room to the bar, dining room, reception etc . Thanks to our guides though we did see leopard , lots of elephant and other game which was after all the point of it all Its just that we were so excited about this place from how it was “sold”

We had the most amazing experience at Yala Safari Camping and for us, it was the perfect end to our Sri Lankan adventure. From the moment we arrived to the moment we had to leave, Mahesh and his team made us feel like royalty. A special mention has to go to Achi, our Safari driver. His passion and enthusiasm for his job was evident and he made our Safari drives truly memorable. He made sure we got to see everything we wanted to see and even found time for a wild river swim after a particularly hot day on trail. The accommodation was extremely spacious and comfortable and provided everything that you needed after a day on the roads. We even shared our bathroom with a few frogs and lizards which added to the whole experience. The quality and standard of the food provided by Promod, the chef, is truly amazing especially when considering the equipment he has to work with! We were continually impressed with the taste and variety of the food on offer. For us, this was the perfect was to finish our Sri Lankan adventure and our experience will live long in our memories.

The best stay we’ve had in Sri Lanka! The location is stunning, the view from the restaurant is insane, the service is the best & the fooood wow, the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka, compliments to the chefs! The stay is truly amazing, so peaceful, the safari was so fun and well organized (we saw a leopard). There are snacks and drinks during the safari, the guide knows all the spots to give you the best chance to see all the animals. Definitely an experience to remember! This stay is the best choice if you are coming to Yala!
