I booked through the UR portal and checked the Trip Advisor reviews. This is NOT a hotel although it said it was. They have zero amenities, in fact people go to the Westin next door for anything beyond very expensive vending machine snacks. I wanted a single room, got a cramped unit smaller than a studio underneath the stairs. Needed to go 4 stairs up and 6 stairs down to get to a ground level room, not fun with luggage. No washer/dryer as depicted. No kitchenette unless you count a hot plate and toaster. The unit across from my building was literally falling down. Walls are thin, can hear the neighbors. Worst thing, the front staff can’t do anything about booking, can’t cancel or switch or amend the reservation. It all has to go through a different group on the mainland, who they can’t contact. The group works bankers hours, Mainland time, so by the time I arrived in the afternoon, they’d been closed for hours. The staff is nice but it’s not worth staying here. Go to the Westin instead.

BIG rooms, need updating. Suites have W/D which is awesome. I wish you could rent/borrow bikes. The beach equipment needs updating too, 2 umbrellas were broken but we didn't know until we got to the beach. All rooms should come with extra fans since there is no AC in the suites.

I read the Tripadvisor reviews. They seem decent and I booked this for a vacation, especially since the price was reduced for the days I wanted to be there. There definitely a reason for that. The “club” is merely condo rentals with no amenities. Oh wait you can get laundry detergent at the front desk. Any activities are on the South Shore of four hour round-trip. The only thing here is a tourist luau. When I had questions about reservations, the front desk said they cannot help. I had to call the extra holidays department the department bank. I am told that there are no refunds for any kind of cancellation. Kind of explains the reduced price

They gave us an "adjoining" room (supposed studio) which means we were basically staying with a family of 4 (2 kids) separated by a door. It was as if they were in the room with us. Crying baby upstairs. Property had a nice pool but no bar or grill or food at all. We were supposed to prepare our meals in our "kitchen." Basically, it was just a hotel room with no privacy. Not worth the money. We left 3 days early with no refund possible.

Other than the Roosters waking us up every morning at 3am it was a great experience! The roosters are part of the Hawaii experience haha!

We were very pleased with our stay at this resort. We had a very spacious one bedroom unit with a beautiful view of the mountains. Our unit had a huge deck which we definitely enjoyed. Everything was clean and although not luxurious...it was well maintained and comfortable. We definitely plan to return here someday.

Of all the units, we got put on a busy intersection, despite booking months in advance. This old, broken down building with single pane windows has no sound dampening. So we’ve been listening to road noise all day and night. It’s by far the worst room I’ve ever stayed in.
