I liked my stay at the Coral reef due to its location and friendly helpful staff. The room seemed to be updated and well appointed.
There was a few insects greeting us and a lot of areas had not been cleaned such as dresser drawers causing me to live out of my carryon bag for a week.Not gross but needed a thorough cleaning.

The rooms say soundproofed, but i heard a party outside my room late. It says A/C, but the unit didn't have a controller in the room to turn it on. The clock was on the wrong times, so I couldn't easily set an alarm. The walls are marked up and need painted. The sinks dont have drain stops in them, and the toilet was running all night. I never got a receipt, and am still trying to get one.
Last minute booking was over $50 cheaper for the person who booked calling in the same time I booked on Orbitz. All in all... great location that needs some TLC and has great potential.

Our room was comfortable with an AMAZING direct Ocean View steps to the ocean!!!
Brandy and her family were so friendly and helpful with easy check in and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay!
Our room was on 3rd floor and we sat on our lanai to watch the sun rise!! Beautiful!!

The property looks okay from the beach but it is severely run down and in need of major refurbishment. The room and furnishings look like they dated to when it was built in 1956. It may be known as a boutique hotel but well worn carpeting and furnishings, broken patio door handles, dirty walls and thick dust on the ceiling fan all indicate that maintenance has not been a priority at this hotel. The outdoor amenities included a green pool and an unusable rusted out charcoal grill.

Right on the beach; adequate parking; walking distance to lots of eateries.
Section we were in ( upstairs near office) seemed ancient, and really in need of major facelift. It was supposedly City View...we overlooked a dumpster and broken discarded furniture.
Pool looks great in photos, but needs some TLC. Pool furniture broken or sagging.
Beware: parts of the carpark become ponds after rainy nights = wet shoes and feet for the day!

Wonderful place. Arrived at night and awoke to the beautiful coastline vista. Staff couldn’t be sweeter.
