Stay was ok for one night. Not a great example of a 21C in my opinion. Room was clean and spacious, but literally 3 steps away from elevator so I heard the "ding" all night, and the bar dumped their glass bottles into a dumpster outside, on the same side as rooms, which was very loud. I had to call to get shampoo and soap, as there were none in room when I checked in. Drinks in bar are phenomenal - they are truly artists - and was the highlight of the stay.

With a variety of quality hotel options from which to choose in KC, this property is my favorite. Safe and monitored parking across the street; big clean bathrooms; quiet rooms; espresso machine in the room; large comfortable rooms; friendly staff; plenty of pillows and towels; and full-size items in the bathroom! The bed was the only not-so-pleasant experience. It felt like an air mattress and the comforter was half-sized? The bed was not super uncomfortable, mostly just odd.

The sink pipes would randomly give off a high-pitched whistle. We would have to get out of bed and push on the faucet. I can't complain too much as I did not report it until we checked out. So that's on me. Loved to ambiance, the penguins, the atmosphere. We walked everywhere, even late at night, and did not feel unsafe.

This hotel was super nice! The only thing is parking off street or you pay $10 per day for parking. When we first arrived our room had a strong sewer smell & the bathroom made an odd loud noise. When talking to the front they quickly changed our room without hesitation! Very kind people & nice property over all!
Also, I must have missed the print, but there is a $100 deposit hold per day until check out! So this was a big of shock when I thought I was paying $300 something and my bank was on hold for $500 something!
