Great Hotel, Friendly, attentive Staff. The Rooms are clean and spacious. Excellent location. I didn’t know that the Hotel provided transportation to the Country Club Plaza. I’ll use it, next, time. I am an American Express Platinum Card holder. We are issued Credits at each Hotel stay. I used one Credit at Dinner, upon, arrival. No problems, uncharges or imposed gratuity. I used another credit for Breakfast on my, last, day. The server charged me a service fee, upcharges and self imposed gratuity. I asked for a Manager, explained the problem and asked for Hotel Policy. The Manager fumbled around with some absurd response. It made no sense, not, even, to her. She, finally, said that she will comp the meal and apologized. I, still, saw a charge on my final checkout bill. This was the only concerning part of my stay. Credits are rewards, not, self, serving financial gains for Servers. We earned those rewards. It, appears, to be a dishonest practice used by dishonest Servers. I will report the incident to American Exoress. They always listen to their Card Holder’s concerns by making everything right. I have, never, had this happen at any Hotel, anywhere, else in the world!

We prepaid our room through Agoda and confirmed this with the front desk, yet we were charged again for the same room. Now there is a $280 hold on my bank account, which is unacceptable and very frustrating. The hotel itself is cute and clean with nice amenities, but the billing issue seriously impacted our stay.

We came for a staycation for two nights and our room the first night was a little noisy... so I went to the front desk and talked to Donielle and she was the most pleasant, kind, and helpful person to talk to about hopefully switching rooms. She didn't skip a single beat and helped right away. She was about to get off for the day and left a note for the people coming for the next shift incase I didn't come back down for the new room in time. She wrote down the specific rooms that were available that would be less noisy so the next shift knew exactly what we had discussed. She made me feel so welcome and comfortable. If everyone in the hospitality industry provided the experience that Donielle gave us... well, I think people would take more staycations!!! THANK YOU DONIELLE ＜3

This hotel was recently included in Chase’s Edit program and we visited at the end of Dec. I suspect the hotel was just overrun due to people using the credit before it expired at the end of the year. Everyone around us was using Edit. -No welcome amenity provided -Restaurant where you can use credits is atrocious. Slow (1+ hr for breakfast), orders consistently wrong, wrapper served in food, food overcooked/undercooked, items missing -Housekeeping never showed -Charged for “urban fee” and tax, despite room rate stating taxes and fees included, hotel would not budge on this Room itself was nice and hotel location was good. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

Extremely poor experience at the Fontaine booked through Amex. The sink in our room (429) did not drain properly, one of two lamps did not work, housekeeping didn’t make the bed properly (bottom sheet didn’t fit the bed and the mattress pad was exposed), and the room was too hot despite setting AC at 62. Also, we were double charged for parking the first night as the check-in attendant did not explain that the $28 for parking was billed via the hotel and we did not need to pay to exit the garage but should instead have called up to the desk as the check-out attendant informed us. Finally, the $100 Amex Hotel Collection credit was apparently issued as two $50 gift certificates to the hotel bar - this was not stated anywhere on the letter we received in check in and we have never received the $100 credit as separate gift certificates, so we thought these were on top of the $100 credit. Fortunately we didn’t use them. Also appreciate that the $100 credit could be used for parking and the urban fee, but the confusion over the $100 credit/certificates, unacceptable room issues, and the difficulty we had at checkout with the understaffed front desk (they were unable to provide us with an itemized bill) will prevent me from ever staying here again.

This hotel was a good choice for us to easily walk to the Country Club Plaza. Our room was very nice and the restaurant served good meals. The best part was the Front Office Manager PTasha Handspike. She was welcoming and very helpful; she is an excellent ambassador for the hotel!

I enjoyed my time at the Fontaine Igloo experience! When we arrived, we were greeted by Brianna who was very charming and helpful. She gave us the run down and made sure we’d be cozy. Our server, Amia, was also great! She checked on us several times and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The igloo was super cozy and warm which was very nice. It was the perfect place for conversation, food, drinks, and an overall great time. I’ll for sure be recommending friends and family.
