Booked a month in advance on the hotels website, had email confirmation from the hotel only to arrive after 3 hour drive to be informed our booking did not exist. Family of 4 having to find rooms on meatstock weekend was an absolute nightmare. I read other reviews on this site about bookings being cancelled the day of arrival but had thought those issues would be fixed. Book at your own risk, but read the negative comments first - this is not an uncommon issue with this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel as it was a central location for us to attend a family funeral. We had checked in, only to find someone else was parked in our dedicated car park for our room, we were advised to park in any available car park, which was a distance from our room, during the time we were unpacking the car, the staff must have located to the people parked in our car park, as they came and moved their car. We went out to catch up with family who had already arrived and had dinner. We arrived back to the room, to have a shower and an early night, only to turn the blankets down on the bed to find the sheets dirty, went to remove said sheet to find further dirt in the bottom of the bed, removed all sheets, and the mattress topper was stained not to mention the white crusty substance on the blanket between the two sheets. As this hotel is operational 24 hours went to the office to report, only to find closed, as dialing the number left to contact the office, a staff member came out to see if everything was okay, this is when I have advised of the situation. The staff member has apologised and said they will see what they can do to assist. The Staff member has come back advised could move to another room, once in the room both myself and the staff member pulled back the covers to ensure the bed was clean, the staff member advised they have new cleaners, I replied well they aren't doing their job correctly and are shortcutting. Once we had moved all our items from the original room to this room, we settled in for the evening. My husband went for a shower and noticed the seals on the shower to be broken and not attached to the door of the shower, so the water was leaking out, the supplied shelving in the showers was also broken and if you were to have anything on there to heavy would have come crashing down, not to mention the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were either partially empty or totally empty (lucky we always pack our own and don't rely on the hotel to supply). The kitchen sink tap came out of the sink, there was no ironing board so weren't able to give our clothes for the funeral a quick iron from being in a suitcase for the duration of our travel. There were also rust stains on the tiles where the bar stools were to sit and eat at the counter. We also had a knock at the door this same night to confirm we had made payment for our two-night stay, we advised payment was made at the time of check-in. The following morning we got up and thought we would have the complimentary continental breakfast supplied. Very sorry we did the coffee was undrinkable, and the butter for the toast was communal tub so full of crumbs and a broken container, not individual butter serves like the other spreads available, with the current conditions we are in with COVID this isn't ideal - there was a pancake machine, which was the only thing going for their breakfast with a limit of 2 per person, the juice station wasn't chi

My husband was booked to attend A conference here. He was unwell and cancelled in advance. So motel still charged him $129. Despite sending 2 emails to query this they have not even bothered to acknowledge them. Poor poor customer service. Would we recommend them…. Definitely not.

Better to sleep in your car than waste your money staying here. The hotel is no where near even a 1 star standard. Dirty.. Multiple holes in walls. Broken fittings. Junk & broken brooms etc in stairwell. The one plus was I wasn’t cold !

Ended up here because our house flooded and it was the “nearest” accom to brisbane. 3 beds were touching a lounge between those 3 beds and another bed took up all the floor space. Spa bath was not operational, all ceiling lights not working. Rubbish from House keeping left on my clean laundry. Beds not made. Had to buy own toilet paper. Smokers are horrible. Family on ground floor always out smoking same as the gentleman who helps at breakfast smoking on top balcony with others & over flowing ash trays attached at each corner, a bit gross - had to keep doors and windows closed to prevent it coming in, and dodge them walking from car park, car pack allocated to unit being used by another car. When bringing it to attention lady uninterested and they been too busy. Kids on a softball tournament yelling into the night, splashing us & toddler as we walked through carpark, just rude. Laundry is $8 per load (wash/dry) but again it was a bit gross and floor covered with water - This was possibly the fault of the softball group washing whites. Would not recommend and very disappointed to have paid what we did.

We recently booked here for a night while travelling south. I was travelling with someone who made the booking, so that we could travel with dogs. In terms of dog travelling, the outside area was unkempt, but suited our purpose. Outdoor furniture was dirty and mouldy, not suitable for use. Inside the unit, the room was awful - I reluctantly stayed here for the night. The kitchen cupboard doors were stained, unit was poorly stocked with mismatching and broken items. So many items missing, broken, dirty and/or unkempt. Bathroom poorly stocked, and stains on the wall that could have been blood (behind the toilet roll) and faeces/old glue (under the shower rail), who really knows? The carpet in the second bedroom had not been vacuumed and was littered with stones, and I stood in a prickle, which broke my skin. The bed was sagging on the side, someone had spent a lot of time sitting on this bed, it was so bad, that I had to prop myself up into the bed to sleep. The couch was stained and torn, and so badly sagging it was impossible to sit in. Honestly, I have driven by better couches on the footpath. On a positive note, the linen and towels were clean! Check in was problem free, took a little longer than it should have, but no major issues. Overall, I felt really uncomfortable here for the night and could not get out quick enough. I could say that the place has left me a little traumatised, and Allan Cunningham must be spinning in his grave to have this place named after him. I'm not one to leave negative comments, and usually say nothing, but this was possibly the worst motel I have ever stayed in. You have been warned!

We had booked up for a Saturday night stay for a weekend event in toowoomba. Having driven for nearly 2 hours and 10 mins away from the motel we received a text to say our booking had been cancelled. It was only 3.30 in the afternoon. I called them and asked why and they gave me a huge cock and bull story about the booking on their website was not the one they used anymore. I only booked 3 days before and they had my credit card details . We immediately pulled into the nearest motel and they said we were the second couple that day that that had happened to from this motel. The lady unfortunately had no vacancies at her motel but tried to find us a replacement room at any other motels but Toowoomba was fully booked out because of the flower show. So we had to cancel all our other plans and turn around and go home. An unbelievable waste of 4 hours+. I can promise I will never book again at Allan Cunningham motel because they didn’t even say sorry for what was obviously an over booking and I can only wish them the future they deserve for treating people the way they did.
