We made a reservation for this hotel back in February due to a wedding this spring. We booked a king bed suite with the sleeper couch though the wedding site to reserve one of the block of rooms being held for the wedding party at a discounted rate. The day before leaving we called the hotel to make sure everything was all set and were told that we had a room reserved, however, we did not receive the discounted rate as we needed to call the hotel to confirm that we were with the wedding party. We were also told that even though the regular price of the room had dropped if we cancelled the room it was within 24 hours so we would be charged for the room anyway. We asked to speak with the manager and was told she was in a meeting. We arrived the next day to check into our room and forget about the room rate fiasco and enjoy the weekend. We opened our room to find two beds, not the king we requested. We went back to the front desk and were told rooms were given out “on a first come, first serve basis”. When we referenced our confirmation number and that we paid more for the king bed suite we were told “all the rooms are the same price”. Again, we asked to speak with the manager and she was off site. At this point they said there was nothing they could do and to call the 1-800 number for Best Western Customer Service. We called customer service, they saw our reservation for a king suite and couldn’t understand why we didn’t have a room available. If you are a group, find another place to book as there are other good options in Keene because if something goes wrong management here is incapable of fixing anything.
