An average hotel. The surroundings are beautiful but the room left a lot to be desired. The staff are excellent and helpful. But the hotel itself is old and outdated. The room smelt stale. The beddings were old and tired. Pillows were flat. There were broken tiles in the bathroom. However, staff were excellent.

Amazing hotel, staff are fabulous, and go out of their way to ensure the comfort of guests. Very convenient location, and great value. Beds are extremely comfy and room was spotless. Don't forget to enter your car registration at Reception!

we had a one night stay here while passing through with work .
staff were great , and room was comfy an clean . never had a chance to use gym or facilities but heard a good comment from other guests

When I arrived, the woman at the reception asked me to wait 20 minutes until she finished her lunch. I sat at the bar until she and the other person finished their lunch. Then it took her only 2 minutes to give me my room and key.
The room was small and in disrepair, the lamp in the bathroom didn't work, and the one over the desk was rusted and missing its cover with all the wires exposed.
I stayed 2 days, they didn't change the towels and didn't take the rubbish away. The person who came to do the cleaning only drew the curtains and nothing else.
I don't recommend it, but it is cheap.

Good points: Food was brilliant, lady who served us with tattoos was brilliant too. Room was clean, large and had a big bed with a bath and shower. Large tv which worked perfectly. I asked for an extra pillow as we only had 2 (1 each), and they were wafer thin. Was advised that the hotel is full, and when it’s full customers only get 1 pillow each??? I found this odd as it says on the check-in sheet that the wardrobe has extra inside, but it didn’t, and was told these would only be available when the hotel is quieter? I just LOL’d and me and friends found this odd but hilarious. The bar and restaurant area has no atmosphere at all. No music, no noise, just a quiet large room where you feel like you need to whisper, and it was freezing! Bed was comfy (would’ve been better with an extra pillow). I would stay again, as it is cheap, good location for the airport and easy to get to go with on-site free parking.

This is a great cheap place to stay if you want a base in the Leicester area. It’s actually quite cheap but you do get what you pay for. Overall the rooms are a great size but the whole building feels very tired and you can see it needs a lot of repairs. In our room the main heating source didn’t work and instead we had a plug in heater. Unfortunately it took ages to heat up and due to the rooms being quite big we didn’t really feel the benefit until after a couple of hours. The beds are very hard and if you’re used to a soft mattress back home they are quite hard to sleep on. Have to say the shower was wonderful and again a great sized bathroom.
The staff were absolutely wonderful during our 3 days. Couldn’t fault any of them. Very pleasant and the front desk is manned 24/7.
In terms of food it’s basic but good value for money. We had breakfast both mornings and couldn’t fault portions/wait times etc plenty of choice. We also tried the restaurant one night and for £25 got a 3 course meal and a drink. Great choice and all of the food was tasty and served quickly.
If you’re looking for luxury this isn’t that type of hotel but if you want to throw your items in a room and head out for the day I couldn’t recommend it enough due to the price.
