My wife and myself visited recently and felt unsafe staying here- Pros Pretty gardens, electric gates and fencing for security (what ever way you look at this!), some staff friendly, close to airport, free shuttle. Security guard at night which is assuring. SOME staff friendly and approachable. Cons - left at airport after not having an email response (2 emails sent) about the shuttle service and I asked someone and after 15 minutes had someone wait with us until they ordered the shuttle. ( it was a “left in foreign city” feeling; horrible). - We enquired about snacks, none on site. Suggested shop up the road and was told by 1 staff member that people only steal your phone at night (?!?!) we walked up the road during the day and was told by a fellow resident in the area to avoid and we would end up having everything stolen from us if we entered the park area ( he had told us of his many encounters of day robbery and was actually equipped with a weapon similar to a crowbar which appeared to be the norm) HE escorted us back to the guesthouse. - minimal alcohol/ drinks on site, we requested more and had a rude/ unwilling attitude and response but we got a bottle in the end - unable to have dinner or lunch on site, have to order through Uber eats! - uneasy feeling when entering reception area and feeling the staff talk about you/ talk in their own language straight away after talking with you and some giving you funny looks. - no hairdryer, shower gel/ wash, no shampoo Such a shame as the guesthouse has such potential but the response from everything was so poor and we, as 2 women alone, could have ended MUCH worse. Sorry to say, if you are foreign/tourist then this appears to be a dangerous area to stay in. Staff do not seem to understand the implications of just a walk to the shop and the dangers this could incur.
