Avant Garde Lodge

We use Avant whenever we need to host overnight guests and staff travelling to and from Limpopo. It a great stop, lovely and clean, wonderful staff, great food and service is outstanding. Highly recommend.

Well located for the airport. Very friendly staff, excellent transfer service from the airport. Food was vey good and being able to book an evening meal was very much appreciated. Rooms were roomy and comfortable. Safe and secure. Lovely gardens.

Very nice Lodge close to the airport. Nice garden and excellent breakfast. Excellent service as well as our plane was 2.30hours delayed and Avant Garde Lodge stayed late in the night at the arrival hall waiting for us.

Avant Garde Lodge is a nice place in Kempton Park. Beautiful garden, some flowers smells strange. Food was delicious! Beds, shower and room is good. Host and staff friendly. Maybe only a upgrade for the swimming pool. Thanks Armand and others. I hope, I come back!

I initially booked through a reputable booking site but decided to book direct to save the establishment on commission and paid the deposit. Bad mistake. I was supposed to stay at the place for a weekend but cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. A cancellation policy was never communicated and I was told that a refund would be done. After following up several times via email, I eventually gave them a call. I was told that the refund would take 3 months which I argued about, being in the hospitality industry myself. The guy I spoke with (I think it's owner) hung up on me. Needless to say, it's been 4 months now and still now refund. Unfortunately, it is establishments like these that necessitate the use of booking sites. I would recommend that you make use of a booking site when booking to avoid losing out.

Our family of four spent a night at Avant Garde Lodge before heading back to Melbourne and we enjoyed our stay very much. I enjoyed a cider outside in the beautiful garden with a book while my daughter learned to play pool in the fire-lit lounge room. The dinner we had was delicious and the staff were warm and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean and we were delighted to find the towel swans and a complimentary bag of crisps waiting on the beds. beds were comfortable! Armande transferred us to the airport the following morning after a delicious breakfast which was included in our rate. I would definitely recommend and would definitely book again.

Stayed for one night prior to flight. Made very welcome and had a superb dinner and breakfast. Allowed us to stay in the room longer as we had an evening flight, very accommodating. The room is spacious and has en suite with only partition wall, so not completely private when sharing. Delightful grounds and various sitting areas inside and out. Hospitality is first rate.
