This Hotel is a real gem. Beautiful room with so many lovely touches from the little wooden tags on the hair dryer (have a good hair day), to the exotic seaweed handsoap, and the soft and inviting SuperKing bed. The room was quiet but maybe a bit warm luckily we could open a window. Coffee machine supplied as well as a kettle. A large warm bathroom and soft towels made the overnight stay just wonderful. I really wanted to have a coffee on arrival but there was no decaf but I really enjoyed my morning coffee....... We had dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic. Service was friendly, but as there was only one staff member for most of our time there, it was slow. However we did not mind as we had the time. The food was amazing with great choices. Breakfast is not included in the room and is served in their daytime cafe. Again amazing food however the service was a bit haphazard possibily because we arrived when it was at its busiest. We received our delicious sourdough toast and brown bread but waited 12 mins for the tea. The breakfast plate came after 35 mins by which time the bread and tea needed replenishing. The very young staff seemed not to keep an eye on their tables with the result that a few customers received their orders quickly while others like us had a different experience. However the breakfast was excellent and the staff were really lovely and friendly. The bonus of this beautiful hotel was the food which was superb. I hope to come back some day.
