We, too, booked a stay for this June using the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal offered in November, 2023. Two months later, we received an updated invoice charging us double what we had booked for a rate (with no explanation). After emailing and calling The Breakwater for several days, we finally talked to someone and were told that it was a computer glitch, and we could cancel the reservation or continue the reservation with a "courtesy" of 15% off the full price. I also emailed the parent company, Hay Creek, with no response. Feels like a bait and switch situation... this isn't a computer glitch, it's human error and ignorance to realize this mistake two months later (the cyber deal post is still on their Facebook site). There are nicer, updated, and more honest places to stay in the Kennebunk area, and we will be telling our friends to also stay clear of this establishment.
