The Breakwater Inn & Spa

This place was beautiful! Amazing views right on the water while we enjoyed drinks and a beautiful view from our room. Good drinks. The bed was extremely comfortable and our room was spacious. Definitely seems like the place was recently renovated. Staff was very friendly.

One star because there is no option to give nil .So disappointing . Not at all as expected . There was a wedding party booked into the hotel and we were advised the bar area was booked out by them after 9pm . No opportunity for a quiet evening drink before bed even before 9pm. Breakfast was limited buffet style with plastic cutlery and paper bowls/ plates!!! Only saw two staff members during our stopover & neither were particularly helpful or engaging . We stayed room 23 ( clean and functional ) but no help with carrying luggage to top floor. The Gardner helped us when he noticed the situation. The fire alarm went off during breakfast . The hotel evacuated but no member of staff seemed to assemble guests or Marshall the event in anyway . It appears caused by guest use of toaster but as no staff around the alarm continued til the fire brigade arrived. Just a very poor experience and a total lack of interest in me as a guest. I hope the wedding party had a better experience than we did . Think Fawlty Towers and don’t expect customer service . There is none .

The staff was the best part of our stay. While we had a few hiccups- they bent over backwards to fix things (especially the maintenance man and night front desk clerk). The room was a little lacking in coziness. Not having a phone in the room- odd. Premium channels on the tv would’ve been nice. Drinking glasses needed. Better pillows definitely and the couch needs replacing.

While the staff was amazing and helpful for the most part. We still have not received our emailed receipt for our stay as they stated they would send via email. The staff is friendly and seem helpful, however, none of them seem to be able to look up reservations, and answer questions regarding them. Just went in circles. The facility itself was not well kept. Needs some tlc. Our bathroom was yuck, toilet barely flushed, shower was moldy in and around the base outside of the shower. Water pressure was terrible, shower drain seems to be draining extremely slow, carpets didn’t look very clean, ewe. Definitely need some updating and some paint. We did have massages when there and the spa was nice. The view was amazing. We’d like to return but surely not until some improvements have been made.

Lovely location on the water. Walkable area behind property on water. The room with the corner balcony had a gorgeous view of the water- large, comfortable and cozy with great seats in and out of the room to enjoy the views and listen to the sounds of the ocean!

To the staff at the Breakwater Inn, Thank you so much for being so accommodating to us during the storm. These Florida girls had no experience with a snowstorm and your staff was so helpful. From cleaning off our car windows to providing us with extra water and the ability to stay an extra night. You made our stay at the Breakwater Inn so enjoyable. We will be back❤️.

In November we made a reservation for our anniversary the following summer. Received an email confirmation, confirmation number, etc. Two months later they cancelled the reservation saying there had been a "glitch" in their system. Making a reservation doesn't mean you have a reservation.

Check in was easy. Staff have been super friendly and helpful. The room is quiet, large and very comfortable. I’m here in the off season but I would highly recommend. It’s a beautiful, quiet spot.
