We were locked out of our room, due to door lock malfunction. Front desk gave us new keys first night, however that did not fix the problem. I was only able to get back in the room because my wife was still in there. Got new keys next morning, still not working. We had to wait an hour for them to fix the door lock, so we could get our bags and leave, inconvenient.

Arrived at 8:30 PM to find a sign asking me to call a number to check in. Called the number but got no answer for 2 minutes. Called the number again and after a couple more minutes, an employee came from the back pushing a laundry cart. She just stared at me so I asked her if I should terminate the call. Her response was, “obviously since I am here now.” She offered no greeting nor any apology for making me wait to check in. She asked for my name - instead of answering, I dropped my head ID and credit card on the counter to which she scolded me saying, “don’t be rude to me sir.” Her attitude was completely snarky and unprofessional and it frankly pissed me off. There are plenty of places to stay in Kennewick - this La Quinta should not be your choice so long as “Stephanie” (if that is her name) is working the front desk. This employee either needs to be retrained on company standards or terminated before she drives off any more customers.

Great price, clean, quiet, well stocked food even after breakfast available. Was handy as everything was closed when I pulled in US Thanksgiving and everything was closed.
