"The hotel overall isn’t bad; it’s located right in front of the metro exit and is a 15-minute walk from the city center. However, considering what I paid, I expected more. The room was old, with no shutters and curtains that barely blocked the blue LED lights that stay on all night on the balcony to illuminate the hotel’s façade. The bathroom flooded with every shower because the drain was clogged, and water would come out of a second drain outside the shower box. Breakfast was fairly good. The rooftop pool is very nice, with a beautiful view of the Acropolis."

"🌟 Outstanding Stay at Amalia Hotel Athens 🌟 The Amalia Hotel Athens is in an excellent location—right in the center, with easy access to major sightseeing spots and many great food options. It is definitely the best choice in Athens, offering comfort at a very reasonable price. What made our stay truly memorable was the outstanding staff: Mrs. Kalliopi (Front Desk Receptionist) – She warmly upgraded our room, recommended some of the best dining experiences in Athens, and even made reservations for us. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel so welcome. Ms. Irini Pasalidou (Housekeeping) – She kept our room spotless, replaced towels and toiletries promptly, and greeted us every morning with a smile. Her dedication, efficiency, and kindness made us feel right at home. Breakfast Team: Stavros & Marilena – Their smiles and attentive service brightened each morning. Stavros always served fresh orange juice as soon as we sat down, while Marilena ensured the buffet was well stocked and the tables were clean. Their dedication and hard work made breakfast a delightful experience. Because of these wonderful team members, our visit to Athens was exceptionally enjoyable and comfortable. "The hotel is located near Omonia metro station, which was convenient, although the area didn’t feel very safe at night. I had both dinner and breakfast there—the food was average, but fair for the price. The staff were very nice and always helpful. My room didn’t have a desk, unlike some of the other rooms. The bathroom sometimes had an unpleasant smell, possibly from the pipes, and I noticed a few small flies. On the positive side, the room was equipped with air conditioning, a fridge (very useful), a TV, and a balcony facing the street. The only small inconvenience was that after cleaning, the window was often left open, even when I hadn’t requested it."

"The Candia hotel was a very short and easy walk with a lot of luggage from the train station. I was able to check in an hour earlier than they state in the information and the receptionists were very helpful. The hotel is a short walk to the underground station in Thessaloniki from there it was a short train ride ( very exciting if you get a front seat) to all the museums and centre. The room at Candia was very large with a big bathroom and was very comfy, clean and relaxing. There are shutters in the windows that was good for the mornings. Nd the sun did not wake me up! Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of hot and cold food. I especially liked the fruit and yoghurts with an array of extra bits for healthy toppings. The swimming pool was lively and I had fun in the sun. There were plenty of staff to help there and make my stay fabulous. The views from the top of the hotel were great and I wished I’d taken some images! Thessaloniki has a lot to offer travellers who enjoy culture, which is why I chose to stay there."

"The hospitality of the staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, everything was perfect! My mother uses a wheelchair and the support was excellent. And best of all, the location from which we could see the Parthenon during breakfast was the best! This is a must-visit hotel when you visit Athens."

"Wonderful hotel with a great rooftop view, and a very comfortable room. Concierge was extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent location to explore Athens from, and you must visit the Alchemist cafe for their amazing pastries which is just a short walk away."

"The location was perfect, the service was very gracious. The room was clean and comfortable. I found the sitting chairs in the room to be uncomfortable but the bed and bedding were fine, as was the bathroom and shower. Clean, simple and adequate all around. With gracious service and convenient, safe location. Complimentary drink at the very attractive rooftop bar with an excellent view was a nic eadded touch!"

"I stayed one night at Red Dave Athens Hotel and was really impressed overall. The rooftop jacuzzi and sun deck were a highlight—perfect for relaxing with a view after a long day. The room design had a modern, industrial feel that was both stylish and comfortable. Only small downside was the bathroom cleanliness, which could be slightly improved. Other than that, everything was great. Would definitely stay again for the vibe and rooftop alone!"

"I stayed overnight in this hotel a week ago en route to the islands. Location is very good, walking distance to the centre and a subway station one minute away. Breakfast was really nice with sufficient to fill you up for the next few hours. Room was nice and warm on a cold March evening. Obviously during COVID the hotel was operating with restrictions, no restaurant on the roof etc. The reception staff were super friendly, the guy on duty in the morning was extremely helpful in printing out some paperwork for me that I needed for my ongoing journey. Highly recommended, I will definitely be booking this hotel again this summer."
