Clean and relaxing place. The staff were also very attentive to our needs before and during our stay with them. The food is to die for. Everything on the menu was delicious especially the Abobitadi stew and banku with okro stew. There were a lot of activities to do in the hotel and various tourist sites to visit. We wanted a relaxing trip and we got it. Highly recommend.

It took about 1,5 hour to prepare a Caesar salad and we hade to change our order about 4 times due to a lack of ingredients in the kitchen. Furthermore the hotel holds monkeys in small cages representing animal abuse. Overall I think a lot of things, including service, is this resort need change.

A cool place to be, the lagoon experience is entirely outside of the place. The atmosphere is very seren and they have a good pool. The food and canteen so far from the Charlette, and extra fare charges for the room services In all it was a beautiful experience.

We stayed in the basic room, which is a lot cheaper than the other rooms but is also actually in a different building, which looks to be under construction for the last couple of years. It’s a good value for what you pay, especially since you have access to the hotels pool area, as well as the outdoor dining area and breakfast is included. On a negative note, the were multiple dead cockroaches in our room. Furthermore the toilet was leaking and the A/c was not adjustable. The breakfast is more of a Ghanaian type. The staff is friendly and helpful. Also there is a beach with umbrellas in front of the hotel.

I make it a habit every easter to travel with my family for holidays outside of Accra so I have been to several places in Ghana and stayed in different hotels and resorts. I wanted to do Volta region this year so I chose aborigines upon recommendation. I checked their website and I was blown away! little did I know that there was a complete disconnect between what was on the website and what actually pertained there! I contacted them on WhatsApp and the promptness with which they responded and booked me was good. But at the back of my mind, there was this niggling doubt because they are really cheap compared to most places we have been. we set out on the morning of 7th April 2023 and after about 4hrs (because of traffic) we arrived. we even missed the entrance because it was so unlike what I expected. there was a car parked at the small entrance blocking it so we had to do a u-turn. their signboard was nothing to write home about. one would have expected directional signboards to the place but there was none.Mind you their main entrance can accommodate only 2 cars. you have to park across the street or behind the hotel. It was at this stage that our worst fears began to manifest. I had confirmed with them that we would be coming the day before so one would have expected that they would be ready for us. everything showed that they were not. they told us that the AC switch was spoilt so they were waiting for the electrician to repair it. My first impression was that they were understaffed so the young receptionist who was polite had to both check us in and go show us our rooms too. there is only one cart to carry luggage. we booked 2 rooms, one family suite and one standard room. The reception room itself was very bland and not welcoming at all. we asked for password for the internet but for the 3 days and 2 nights we stayed there, there was no internet reception in the rooms. the DSTV in the standard room never worked. As we normally do, we always take some food along on such trips so we had our own supper on Friday. Can you imagine they had no fruit juices for breakfast? no coconut water even for a place where there are a lot of coconut trees. there was not much variety at all! ( don't be deceived by what you see on their website) they showed us their lunch menu and it looked impressive. we ordered for food and it took over 2 hours to arrive and even with that we did not get what we wanted on their menu. looks like everybody goes in for banku and tilapia so that was what you could get quickly to eat. the rooms- lots of mosquitoes. I found them quite clean though. there was both hot and cold water the staff- very unprofessional but polite, I guess they need to be trained. one positive thing I experienced was their security guard who doubled as a car valet. he really washes the cars packed there very nicely. I gave him a generous tip for that. they don't have a lot of space at all, looks like this beach resort is an afterthought but they have t

I stayed for an entire month in July. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean with working AC, hot water, refrigerator, Wifi and comfortable bed. The pool area was clean and in a great location just steps away from the sand. The restaurant offered a wide range of food and served by some of the nicest people, with room service and bar service offered. The hotel managers were extremely knowledgeable and helpful with anything that I needed. I am 100% coming back again and would strongly recommend.

The resort is very well maintained and nicely laid out. The person who checked us in was very personable but seemed like he hadn't been well trained and wasn't quite sure what to do. The beach is right there and really is top notch. Food service was slow and the food was fine but nothing really special. The buffet breakfast was varied. The rooms were nice and well cared for. My only complaint there was that you had to move a wardrobe to be able to turn in the refrigerator in one of the rooms. There was WiFi, but it varied quite a lot by location and time of day. We didn't participate in any of the extra activities, so don't know about them. The price was high by Ghanaian standards, but extremely reasonable in comparison to other parts of the world. The worst thing about this place was that they had a solitary baboon and a solitary monkey, each in bare wire cages that were much too small. It seemed abusive and wrong.
