Got to room and checked bed. Room had bedbugs, got refund and switched hotels.

I am a seasonal guide in Ketchikan. I was staying on the bosses boat, but due to mechanical issues I suddenly needed a hotel in the center of everything for 11 days. Hotels are very expensive during peak season so I selected the Super 8. I was pleasantly surprised. Many reviews were negative and I had absolutely ZERO issues my entire stay. The room was quiet, modern, clean, and everything functioned as expected. The microwave, refrigerator and TV appeared newer. The room was large and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Common areas were clean, bright, and uncluttered. I met most of the staff and they were friendly and professional. The owner referred to me by my name.

The breakfast had no good food options, milk was soured, took 2 days to get towels for bathing. Was there 8 days never had restock or trash being emptied had to do it myself with no extra trash bags. Staff did regular walkthroughs to keep homeless out. This was during winter so not sure how it would compare to tourist season.

Had to call to get someone to come check in, nobody was at the desk, then wait 10 minutes for them to show up. Got to the room pulled back the covers and saw bed bugs, checked out and requested a refund right away!!!

No remote for the remote TV. Curtains hanging off of the curtain-bar. Poorly kept hallways and an "iffy" elevator. IT gets worse each time. Enough.

The property suited our needs ok but the whole hotel is a little old and dated. Broken drawers etc. However breakfast was good and the staff were friendly enough.

Shuttle from airport and clerk good. Sent to a smoky room not good. Could be cleaner but otherwise positive.
