We stayed overnight for a spa experience, dinner and breakfast. Service overall: 2/5 Food overall: 3/5 Spa facilities: 4/5 Room: 3/5 Value: 2/5 Service: The lady at the spa desk was listening to a voice note on her phone when we approached. We waited for her to finish then she shoved some towels at us. The reception staff were friendly, but told us to go to breakfast early due to them predicting it being busy. The man who showed us to our room was excellent. The staff at dinner were attentive but service was a little slow, I'd have put more staff on for a busy Saturday night. At breakfast, nobody sat us so we sat ourselves. A woman came over and made comments about how we were sat in an overflow space. Nobody showed us where to get our food or what was on offer so we were left to figure it out ourselves. The food at breakfast was amazing quality, though and we left full. Food: The dinner menu was small and unexciting and my fish on the fish and chips was dripping in grease. The tartare sauce was great, and so were the peas. We decided against dessert as we were already quite disappointed. Spa: The pool was a perfect temperature and very clean, alongside the sauna and steam room. The garden at the spa is stunning with loungers outside. Room: Our bed was very small and the bathroom was a poor layout with the door in the way of the sink. The windows and sills were quite dirty, along with the comforter. The Penhaligon's toiletries were a lovely touch, though and the view was beautiful over the spa garden.
