White Horse Inn & Restaurant

Everything from the original booking to check out was excellent. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean and bright. The food for both dinner and breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a very enjoyable visit. I have already recommended to friends and will definitely be back. Thank you all at The White Horse Inn.

Stayed in Room 3 for two nights and it was perfect. The room was absolutely spotless and there was a fantastic shower. We loved that you could have a flask of fresh milk for coffee in your room. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food delicious. Breakfast was fabulous and freshly cooked to order. The highlight for us was the staff. They were welcoming, friendly and so obviously proud of the whole establishment. Nothing was too much trouble. They certainly could show others how it should be done!! Thank you to one and all.

Katie was great last night, she is very welcoming. Feta cheese and tomatoes is a great starter dish choice, very flavouful tomatoes. The main Course was brilliant. I liked how the Parma ham was cooked and covered the chicken 😀. The service time was good and the environment had a very warm feel to it. Thank you again for the great service last night 😀

This is our fifth visit and we travel a long way to come here. Why? Because the place is so well-managed - and every time we come there has been new inves**ent in the buildings - the food is tasty and the welcome so genuine. A special mention must go to Vicki who is probably the warmest and most willing person we have ever met in any hotel, ever. Thank you everyone.

Great a**osphere, great personal, amazing food and drinks. I can't say in words how this amazing place makes me and my partner feel like home, from the place, the staff, everything is just perfect. If you want to try something more that just a simple taste of foods, you should try this place! They have everything, from overnight stay to coupleof days, breakfast, lunch, dinner. I recommend the wine, the rose wine which is absolutely divine. But don't believe my words for it, go and try it for yourself.

My recent overnight stay at The White Horse Inn was excellent. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room and ensuite bathroom were spotlessly clean and well appointed with complimentary toiletries provided. The personalised welcome letter was a lovely touch. Both the evening meal and breakfast were tasty, well cooked and good sized portions. The only downside to my whole stay was the very stiff door lock on my room (number 2). It was not too bad turning the key from the outside but trying to turn the thumb lock on the inside of the room door was very difficult indeed. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I would be more than happy to stay here again.

Arrived for an overnight stay as we were attending a significant birthday party at the neighbouring village hall. Greeted by name, and shown to our room, a well-appointed and extremely comfortable ensuite room, and briefed on practical details, TV, thermostat, breakfast times etc. On mentioning that we were not dining but attending an event, unprompted we were offered a lift from one of the staff to the (local) venue. If we had properly read the comprehensive information folder, we would have found the details re taxis on having a pre-event drink we enquired about taxi services (for the return trip) we were again offered a lift to the venue and indeed a pickup should we so desire. We took up the offer of the lift to the venue, and had a great evening, returning before closing we were welcomed back and were chided for not calling for a pickup (the walk back of just over half a mile was just enough to clear the head) a night cap was taken, and we retired to bed. After a most comfortable night's sleep the bathroom facilities were put to good use, copious hot water, a shower with a great flowrate, towels of high quality and once cleansed and dressed off to breakfast. An excellent breakfast, high quality ingredients and freshly cooked and again great service. Our only regret, not dining, a regret that a return visit sometime soon will put right. Overall, a pub/restaurant with a most welcoming ambience, friendly and attentive staff, and exceptional quality throughout. On top of which the Real Ales were excellent and to be recommended.

Had an overnight stay here for a business trip. Absolutely 1st class, room was very well appointed, spotless and comfortable. A great selection on the tv channels free view , Netflix etc etc. A nice touch also was the personal welcome letter in the room. We also ate in the pub restaurant, food was of an excellent quality and not overpriced.All the staff were professional but friendly and welcoming. I’ve stayed in lots of accommodation over the years and always prefer this type if place if it’s done with a little finesse and thought for the guest. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend without hesitation .

We have had lunch, Sunday lunch and an Evening Meal here in the last few months and the food has been consistently good. Service has been exceptional and it’s always a joy to go. We shall return! We have been with friends and family who have all enjoyed the experience. What more can you want? A good choice of beer and wines too!
