Coach & Horses Hotel

Every part of our experience here was fantastic, the rooms were so comfortable, the food great, and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. I must make a special mention of Mandy, who really went out of her way to ensure we had an amazing stay. Also thought it was very good value.

Had a lovely two night stay at The Coach and Horses. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was excellent, very clean and comfortable and furnished very tastefully. Food was good though a bit expensive. Breakfast was good.

We had an absolutely delightful experience at the Coach and Horses hotel. Rooms are clean and stylishly decorated with every comfort. We were lucky with the weather and sat outside for both a drink and for dinner, which was lush. The location is perfect; just a short walk from Kew Gardens! Best of all, we both said we have never had such a warm welcome. Alicja was so amazingly lovely and thoughtful, even going out of her way to wish my husband a happy birthday. She really made the stay extra special. We would highly recommend staying here and we have already told friends and family about this beautiful hotel. Thank you and we hope to return, Andrea and Rob.

Great room, large comfy bed, complimentary snacks in the room, and breakfast was delicious. But most importantly: really nice and helpful reception staff, especially Alicia, who was charming and very efficient. Beautifully located on the edge of Kew Gardens and over looking the Green.

The Coach & Horses is in a wonderful location very close to Kew Gardens and the Kew Garden tube stop on the District line in the direction of Richmond. Also close by are the Original Maids of honor, bakery and pie shop, and the Music Museum in Brentwood. The breakfasts are delicious, generous and with a large selection. Xavier was there to guide us and serve with warmth and thoughtfulness. The nights in Room 16 were quiet and comfortable and the staff always helpful, cheerful and kind. Alicja stands out as a shining light. We left a money belt in our room. It held a wallet, credit card, US state ID and a medical insurance card. As soon as we noticed we emailed and then received the most kind and generous care from Alicja. We departed Kew for Macclesfield on Bank Holiday Saturday so nothing could be done until Tuesday morning. Alicja assured us that she would post it first thing and she did. The entire contents arrived Wednesday early morning to much relief. Alicja refused compensation, which we offered, writing that many others have helped her in her lifetime and she was just passing it on. We stayed at Coach and Horses on our prior visit to London and can’t wait to return. It is close to where friends live and now it’s like having made new friends.

We have stayed at the Coach & Horses quite a few times. It never disappoints. The hotel is impeccable and the staff are so welcoming. Nothing is ever to much bother. Can not wait to return.

There are several aspects to this Coaching Inn: The hotel, The Bar and the restaurant. First the hotel: the reception was perfect - really perfect. A warm welcome and very friendly service. The room very comfortable, although a few extra lights over the coffee area would have been useful. The minibar was crammed - lots of choice and reasonable prices. The bar, friendly staff and good service The restaurant..... well, not so good. Unfortunately, the fish (fish and chips), was well below par. So much so that one bite from each plate was disappointing as it had a slight ammonia taste. Both plates ( nearly untouched), were sent back... however the manager did not quibble and kind enough to cancel the bill. But truly it would not have been wise to consume the offering. So, besides this unfortunate event, I would still suggest a visit or stay here.
