Beautiful views from the beach and pool. Hotel restaurant choices are a bit limited.

Very average and definitely overpriced for the "tired" condition of the hotel. Many little thing wrong or broken and mediocre service. Same for the food and the restaurant upkeep. Just okay and a little disappointing.

I really liked the restaurants and beach area. The resort has a lot to offer for recreation- bikes, kayaks, paddle boards. The property is gorgeous and the staff was very friendly and willing to help you in any way. My only complaint is housekeeping. Our room was “cleaned” only once in 5 days. The only thing they did was empty trash and make the beds. No fresh towels, toilet tissue or Kleenex. I had to call almost every night for fresh towels. Also, there is constant music playing at the pool area. It’s not offensive during the day, however, it pays all night long and into the morning. Otherwise, it was a great vacation with beautiful views and I highly recommend the water cabanas!

Restaurants were limited and variety was not there. Left 3 men’s shirts and called and asked to have them left for us to pick up a few days later and they agreed. Strangely they seemed to, “lose them”. Manager was no help too many kids in the adult pool. Hot tub dirty.

My husband, and I commented about how the staff at the Playa Largo was so accommodating, so friendly,& so nice!! everyone from the lowest level up was willing to help. They gave a smile, they were friendly, they asked if they could help. We had never seen the entire staff (not just a few) that were willing to go out of their way for you for anything you needed. The outside food service people and Bartenders were so hard-working in extreme heat. We were amazed how they delivered food and drinks into the water! John at the pool is so accommodating and I am sure he will do his part in making it great experience even better. During a busy day, there needs to be more chairs and he already had them ordered! The front desk people were so accommodating Susie, Desi, & so many whose names I dont have. The woman In the gift shop helps us out with so many things! We enjoyed your daily wellness smoothie. The one thing we thought was missing was a coffee shop so you could get iced coffee in the afternoon and the general manager (I can’t remember his name) said that is coming soon!! Can’t wait to return to Playa Largo!

Generally a disappointing experience for a high end resort. We payed for the Summer Cabana special and a Bayview balcony and stayed for a week. The room was nice enough, and the hotel grounds and location were beautiful. However, the food and service left a lot to be desired. And It was also extremely expensive. Breakfast buffet for 4 with 20% service charge and taxes came to $158. They frequently ran out of basic food stuffs at breakfast such as brown bread, banana’s, tea, cream cheese. Frequent Wedding events meant the weekends were very noisy with the after parties. Service also suffered on Mother’s Day as the hotel prioritized setting up a beach restaurant for Mother’s from Miami which was supported by the same kitchen and staff as the hotel, which meant the Mother’s staying in the hotel experienced poor service. The staff themselves were friendly, although they did not have the information about their guests or the food to allow them to be fully successful. There were parts of our summer package that we never received on some days. So overall very hit and miss. And I would advise against drinking the tap water in the restaurants, if you have any kind of digestive sensitivity.

This resort was outstanding and was enough to make our journey worthwhile. However, traveling around Key Largo was filled with busy one way roads and limited dining. A 3 hour drive to Key West in traffic, FYI.
