Ambrosia Key West

We had four nights here at the end of April and can't fault the stay at all. When we arrived as we had not pre-paid parking and had read that there may be on street parking available, we were met by the lovely receptionist (sorry we didn't get her name) who very kindly held a spot outside the hotel for us by going and standing in it while we got sorted, Our room was in the annexe across the street and although there were a few stairs to access it, the room and the little balcony outside were beautiful. Four poster bed and a massive bathroom with spa bath in was a plus. Fridge and microwave in the room were most helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location in a lovely tree lined are and is a very safe walk into the main street a couple of blocks away. As it is pretty much central to the length of Duval Street you can walk easily along the length of it from the Atlantic to the Gulf of America. Which we did several times. Service was impeccable from the cleaning staff and reception staff thanks. Buffet style breakfast served from the gazebo adjacent to the pool was a lovely touch. We had unlimited bacon, eggs bagels, toast, muffins fruit and most other staple breakfast fare with as much tea, coffee and fruit juice you wanted. Definitely an amazing gem of a place.

Hello, Husband and I had the opportunity to stay here July 2nd-6th. It was definitely a great stay. Very close to Duval and still in an area that was very quiet. We stayed in the jungle room. The room was large with a big shower. It had a nice large private deck with lounge chairs and a sofa. It was great to lay out in the morning and listen to the wildlife. Breakfast is included with your stay. It consisted of pancakes, fruit, bread, yogurt, eggs. Overall, a positive experience and will definitely stay here again!

We've stayed here before and liked that it was "pet friendly." We have a 16 year old dog who has become very anxious in his old age and try to take him everywhere with us. We were told that the policy is not to leave your dog alone in the room for more than 5 hours. We left him alone for 2 to 3 hours (from 11 am to 2pm only - not quiet hours) and apparently he barked a lot and someone who comes to Key West to sit in their room all day complained. Sorry about that - we've never had a problem with him barking before. Maybe dog owners should be in one area of the inn and dogless people who sit in their rooms all day in another. We like this place but don't think we'll be staying here again. They charged us an extra $200 for having a dog in the first place. On our last day we either had to stay in the room with our dog or take him out in the heat and only to dog friendly places. Really cut down on what we were able to do. Finding a trusted dog sitter is not easy. The other option is to drug him. Or drug the guests who stay in their rooms all day.

Ambrosia is a charming place to stay with clean well appointed rooms and helpful, attentive staff. The ication is conveniently located within walking distance of most any place you might want to go.

Ambrosia Inn was the perfect location in the Historic District. The pool areas were nice but the landscaping could use some attention. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Parking is at a premium in the area. There are only 3 spots on site that have a $25/ day fee. But there is a large lot a couple of blocks away that is $15/ day. The staff were nice, didn’t get to see them much. The office has limited hours. Breakfast was good but get there early they don’t replenish anything and the eggs and fruit always went fast. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

A very well kept room. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Walking distance to major activities. Loved it.

We did not try the breakfast, but the room was fantastic! The pool was great as well. I have zero complaints.
