Quality Inn Keystone near Mount Rushmore

Keystone is an amazing little town.. beautiful spot. This hotel was in Prime position and boasted a nice, clean room. We were very impressed with our stay overall.

The place was dated and needs a facelift. The parking is very tight. The motel is very close to everything in Keystone. Walking distance. The hot tub was drained and not working. The smell of curry at the motel is extremely strong. Also, not the motel’s fault, but FYI… everything in Keystone closes by 9pm. There are zero food options. The lady at the front desk told us to drive to Hill City, a town 8 miles away. When we were one mile away from Hill City, the road was closed. So we turned around and we had to to drive back to Rapid City to find a restaurant that was open.

Didn’t like the first room given. All you seen was the back of a mountain. Nice having complimentary breakfast, but at times things were not refilled timely.

Parking lot is terrible. Spots are not large enough. Room was ok for 1 night.

The parking lot is absolutely terrible. If you are driving anything larger than a small crossover, you will have issues with parking. The lot is small, cramped and tight. The 2nd floor parking is up a very steep single car incline. Coming down that incline is a little scary and you will most likely scratch your front bumper. The room itself was clean and the breakfast is pretty standard.

Very nice for the price the only thing is it’s loud. The walls are paper thin.

We traveled to SD to ride the BDR on our motorcycles. We booked the hotel earlier in the day. Once we arrived, there was a statement of no trailers allowed. The parking is severely limited and extremely inconvenient. The room was tiny bit clean. It was across from the pool and noisy until 10pm.
