Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Das Essen war durchweg köstlich, besonders das Silvester-Menü war ein absolutes Highlight. Die Bar überzeugte mit ihrem stilvollen Ambiente und auch der Poolbereich war einladend. For us, the Kieler Kaufmann is the undisputed number 1 in Kiel and the surrounding area. The hotel is beautifully located, the staff are extremely courteous and friendly, the gastronomic offering is outstanding and the rooms are tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. A true oasis of peace and enjoyment at a high level. A huge compliment to the entire team!

A great hotel with rough edges. The rooms are, depending on the category, from to. Our room was on the second floor with a view of the fjord. Easily accessible via stairs or the elevator. The high bathtub will not please everyone, this should be checked in advance. I did not visit the spa area and will skip the review. I must highlight the breakfast, there is almost nothing that is not available, great. We could have skipped dinner, apart from being expensive, it was simply nothing. We were not allowed a nightcap in the lobby either, after waiting for the barman for over half an hour, we went to bed. Apart from the stressed barman, the rest of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. You expect a little more from a hotel in this category.
