Kilconquhar Castle Estate

lovely place to stay in a great setting only a couple of miles from Elie. Staff are all very accommodating and friendly . Great facilities to use as well .

Was amazing we booked just for a room for the night and was upgraded on arrival to a suit. Was amazing gutted it was only just one night. Food was great and service was excellent.

Just back from a wonderful time at Kilconquhar Castle Estate. The estate is well maintained and looked after. Lots of places to walk the dogs, who had a fantastic time. The staff at the restaurant were friendly, attentive and helpful, and the food was of very good quality. Albeit our room was a bit compact and bijou for ourselves and 2 big dogs, it certainly was manageable and so handy for the pool and restaurant. It was clean and had everything we needed. The estate is also very central for visiting the many coastal gems like Elie and St Andrews. My only regret is that I have not been before, but will definitely be back. Well done all the staff at Kilconquhar 👏

We flew into Inverness and spent a night in the Inverness area and two nights on the Isle of Skye. We had lovely accommodations and saw beautiful sights and countryside working our way down to the Kilconquhar Castle Estate. We swapped our five star, two bedroom timeshare in St. Martin for the Kilconquhar Estate. We were assigned The Pines. We were looking forward to using our cottage as a base to do trips to local sights. The Pines had space heaters in each room that never quite warmed up the rooms.b We were also being charged extra for each killiwatt. We ended up staying four nights altogether and decided to leave early and find other more suitable accommodations. Everything was a bit old and worn, we needed to ask for a different fry pan since the one supplied was worn out and the teflon was scratched and everything stuck to the pan. We sat at night with blankets over our legs to play cards. The washer/dryer machine did not work correctly, ran for hours at a time and the clothes came out wet. Positives: The maintenance people were very nice and took the clothes to get them dried for us. The view from the Pines was pretty. We ended up with a £135 electric bill and a shortened stay. We moved on and had a delightful continuation of our vacation in Scotland. Kilconquhar Castle Estate was not for us!

Staff were amazing, so friencly and helpfull. Resort had plenty to do onsite and nearby. A lot of nice coastal walks and heritage things to visit. Bisro, gym, swimming pool and sauna on site all well maintained.

Excellent service - outstanding food and lovely a**osphere

Lee in the main bistro, Your attitude and is a disgrace. (There is no way the girl at reception told you before 8 "we're fully booked throwing down your covers sheet) In front of other customers and staff.? Well she did.

On check in you're given a map and sent to find you're accommodation. The facilities are in separate buildings so come rain or shine you go outside to get to them. A lot of the parking has reserved spots for certain accommodation. If there is a party or event on you would struggle to park near where you're hotel room would be anyway. Room 8 was in the basement and you can here every noise. You're view is the kitchens. Room 13 newly refurbished is cold. It had been made as a double, but to my surprise it was 2 single beds pushed together with rollers on the feet which slid. Never slept. Breakfast was underwhelming. 1 waitress serving everyone. You don't choose its given to you. 2 slices of brown 2 white, a sliver of butter on a plate. 1 small cup of juice, no pastries. On check out when I explained it all I got was "Sorry about that". But when it's pay in advance it makes you see. "Buyer Beware". Money first.

Lovely space away from hustle and bustle. Peaceful surroundings, choice of activities and walking opportunities along the Fife coast.
